Buy, sell and keep for Gameweek 5

The fourth round of Fantasy Premier League is over so we look to the next and look at which players are a buy, sell and keep for Gameweek 5. Whether that be through injury, team and player form or other factors we advise the potential fate of assets in your teams.

Looking at players who are a buy, sell and keep for Gameweek 5 could be extremely beneficial to FPL managers. Knowing what to do with assets in your team can ultimately bring clarity with transfer use, captaincy and chip strategy.

Buy

Bukayo Saka (£8.7m – Arsenal) – It may not have been a fully convincing start to the season for him but Arsenal face one of the worst form teams in the league this week in Everton. Saka also takes his sides penalties giving him another potential route to points.

Nicolas Jackson (£7.2m – Chelsea) – No team have conceded more shots in the box than Bournemouth this season so far. Because of this targeting their defence could be wise. Jackson may have frustrated managers recently but he is still maintaining some brilliant underlying data .

Ben Chilwell (£5.8m – Chelsea) – Chelsea have not been convincing so far. However the fact that left-back Chilwell is playing in a left-wing position is extremely hard to ignore. Especially when taking into account he is much closer to goal with a better chance of attacking returns. Against Bournemouth Chilwell could have huge potential this week.

Mohamed Salah (£12.5m – Liverpool) – The Egyptian may be tough to fit in financially but he could be a fantastic option in Gameweek 5. Liverpool are in great scoring form and their penalty taker has already returned in every game of the season so far.

Phil Foden (£7.6m – Manchester City) – Manchester City may face West Ham next up but they are producing some of the best attacking data in the league so far. Foden looks set to start again and the Englishman has already managed a return in all three of his last matches.

James Maddison (£7.8m – Tottenham) – Tottenham are in brilliant scoring form – scoring at least two in every match played so far. With a newly promoted team next it could be wise to buy their standout attacker. Even more so as he ranks second amongst all players for non-penalty expected goal involvement (3.42).

Son Heung-min (£9.1m – Tottenham) – Sheffield United rank amongst the worst four teams for shots in the box conceded and shots on target conceded. Because of this, his three goals in the last match and that he is taking up a more effective position, Son could have massive potential this week.

Sell

Kai Havertz (£7.3m – Arsenal) – Arsenal may have a great fixture as well as maintaining some great from but Havertz is an easy sell for those that still have him. The German international has blanked in all of his matches so far.

Ollie Watkins (£8m – Aston Villa) – Aston Villa have been in mixed form but they also have some extremely tough fixtures ahead. Not only are there better forward options with easier fixtures elsewhere but Watkins isn’t on penalty duty either anymore.

Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m – Brighton) – Brighton may be in form but they have some of the worst fixtures in the league ahead of them. Mitoma may have chances to return against each of them but there are also better options at a similar price and with easier fixtures elsewhere.

Jordan Pickford (£4.5m – Everton) – Everton have been woeful in terms of results and they have Arsenal up next. Now could be the best opportunity to sell Pickford after failing to secure a single return all season.

Jarrod Bowen (£7.1m – West Ham) – The Hammers have started the campaign excellently. However, they also come up against a tough Manchester City side next. With this in mind, although Bowen has three returns in his first four games, his opposition and fixtures ahead suggest he could be a sell.

Andre Onana (£5m – Manchester United) – The Reds have picked up just one clean sheet so far this season. In addition, they have also lost some key defensive players. This will only worsen their chances of clean sheets. With this in mind and considering his price-tag Onana could be an easy sell this week.

Richarlison (£6.8m – Tottenham) – Tottenham have been in top scoring form this season. Why should we then want to sell their striker then? Well the Brazilian has failed to both pass the eye test and pick up a return as of yet. In addition, Richarlison played just 18 minutes of the last match.

Keep

William Saliba (£5.2m – Arsenal) – They may have only bagged just one clean sheet but Arsenal are sustaining some great defensive data. Everton lay ahead for Arsenal, one of the worst offensive sides in the league so far. Because of this Saliba could well have the perfect opportunity to pick up one more return before his fixtures get tougher.

Brentford attackers – Bryan Mbeumo (£6.8m) & Yoane Wissa (£6.2m) – It may be tempting to sell either with Newcastle ahead but that is not the case here. Brentford have been maintaining some of the best offensive data in the league. In addition, Newcastle have also lacked defensively.

Raheem Sterling (£7.2m – Chelsea) – Sterling blanked in his most recent match. This was after he picked up a huge 19-point return in Gameweek 3. However, Bouernemouth are conceding some of the worst defensive stats in the league. Because of this, Sterling could have potential this week.

Manchester United attackers – Bruno Fernandes (£8.4m) & Marcus Rashford – Some may be disappointed by the duo so far. As well as this they face Brighton next. That may be the case but both returned points in the most recent Gameweek. In addition, both players also have great long term fixtures.

Destiny Udogie (£4.7m – Tottenham) – Udogie does have some tough fixtures ahead. However, he could have huge potential next up against Sheffield United. The Blades have maintained some poor defensive and offensive data this season. This could give Udogie an opportunity to multiple routes of points.
