Buy, sell and keep for FPL Gameweek 7
The sixth round of Fantasy Premier League is over so we look to the next and look at which players are a buy, sell and keep for FPL Gameweek 7. Whether that be through injury, team and player form or other factors we advise the potential fate of assets in your teams.
Looking at players who are a buy, sell and keep for FPL Gameweek 7 could be extremely beneficial to FPL managers. Knowing what to do with assets in your team can ultimately bring clarity with transfer use, captaincy and chip strategy.
Buy
- Bukayo Saka (£8.7m) – Arsenal face Bournemouth next up whom have been conceding some of the worst defensive data in the division. Because of that, his form at the start of the campaign and the fact he takes penalties, Saka is a buy this week.
- Bryan Mbeumo (£6.9m) – Brentford will be looking to bounce back this week against a side conceding plenty of goals. Mbeumo has managed to return in half of his matches so far and takes his sides penalties.
- Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) – Liverpool may come up against Tottenham next but they are in top scoring form themselves. Their main man Salah has also picked up a return in all of his league matches so far this campaign and takes penalties.
- Carlton Morris (£5.5m) – Luton have a double Gameweek ahead with matches against Everton and Burnley. With that in mind it could be worth investing in Morris this week. The striker takes his sides penalties and leads his frontline.
- Julian Alvarez (£7m) – Manchester City are maintaining some of the best attacking data in the league so far. They face Wolves next whom are also amongst the worst teams in the division for defensive data. Alvarez has returned in four of his first six matches so has everything he needs to do well this week.
- Kieran Trippier (£6.6m) – He picked up a huge 18 points for his three assists and bonus in the last match. He also ranks the best in the league for chances created amongst all defenders. He comes up against Burnley next so has big potential in the round ahead.
- Sven Botman (£4.7m) – Newcastle have kept three clean sheets on the bounce which indicates they could be finding their 22/23 campaign defensive form. Taking that and their fixture into account, Botman could be a great and cheap way into the backline.
- Jarrod Bowen (£7.1m) – The Hammers are in great scoring form and come up against the worst current defence in the league so far, Sheffield United. Their standout attacker is Bowen who has bagged a return in four of his matches so far.
Sell
- Gabriel Martinelli (£7.8m) – The Arsenal midfielder may have a good fixture ahead but he picked up a muscle injury in his most recent match so is a doubt to start the game. There are also better and more reliable midfielder options available.
- Nicolas Jackson (£7m) – The Chelsea striker received his fifth yellow card in his last match. This means he is suspended but has also been in very poor form.
- Ben Chilwell (£5.6m) – The Chelsea full-back has failed to start the last two matches and so has become a major rotation risk. There are some great defensive options as well so the switch over is an easy one.
- Raheem Sterling (£7.1m) – With all of the other midfielder options available Sterling is a tough keep even with Fulham ahead. Sterling may have impressed but his sides inability to convert chances is a serious concern for their attackers.
- Odsonne Edouard (£5.6m) – The Crystal Palace striker faces some tough fixtures ahead but he also picked up an injury in his most recent match.
- Alexander Isak (£7.6m) – Many will be debating whether to buy, sell and keep for FPL Gameweek 7 here. Newcastle may be firing but the rotation between their strikers could be extremely frustrating to managers. There are other good forward options in the game who look more reliable in terms of minutes.
Keep
- Ollie Watkins (£7.9m) – Brighton lay ahead but they are yet to keep a single clean sheet this season. With that in mind, his fixtures ahead and the fact he has returned in every game but one this season, Watkins is a keep this week.
- Kaoru Mitoma (£6.6m) – Mitoma has some challenging fixtures ahead but his upcoming opponent rank as one of the worst sides in the division for big chances conceded. Brighton are currently the leagues biggest scorers and Mitoma has been a huge contributor towards that.
- Phil Foden (£7.6m) – Some may be tempted to move him on with many looking to change up their midfield for the run ahead. However, in form and starting matches could mean it wise to keep him, especially with Wolves ahead.
- Bruno Fernandes (£8.4m) – Manchester United’ general form is a concern but they are still scoring plenty of goals. One of their standout attackers is Fernandes who takes his sides penalties but also maintains some great distribution data. In addition, Fernandes takes his sides penalties.
- Marcus Rashford (£8.9m) – Crystal Palace may be keeping a solid expected goal involvement. However, they have also conceded five goals in their last three matches. Rashford has bagged returns in half of his last four matches since changing position to the left-wing.
- James Maddison (£7.9m) – Although flagged with a potential injury Maddison and Tottenham have some fantastic fixtures ahead. If the injury is long-term then he could be a sell but if he is missing just one match, it could be worth keeping him on the bench.
- Son Heung-min (£9.2m) – A match against Liverpool could seem intimidating but Tottenham are one of the most in form teams in the league. Son leads his sides attack and has also bagged a massive 36 points in his last three matches.
