Introduction
Bundesliga Fantasy managers have another chance to reshape their squads thanks to the second unlimited transfer period. After this unlimited transfers period the next one will come between matchdays 11 and 12, so managers only need to focus on the next four matchdays (MD8-11) when making their current changes. As a result of this managers can really target those clubs with fantastic fixtures. We look at who to target and how their top scoring assets have fared so far.
Teams to target – RB Leipzig
Arguably with the best fixtures over the next four matchdays look to stock up on players from RB Leipzig. The highest placed team they face in the next four weeks sit ninth, with the bottom two sides also in their immediate future.
On MD8 Leipzig travel to promoted side Darmstadt and then host bottom side Köln on M9. On MD10 they travel to 17th place Mainz before a home game against ninth placed Freiburg on MD11 before the next international break. These fixtures are too good to ignore and managers should at least be going into these games with thee Leipzig players. You could pick from:
- 1. Xavi Simons (15.4m – MID) – 73 points including three goals and four assists.
- 2. David Raum (12.2m – DEF) – 71 points including one goal, two assists and four clean sheets.
- 3. Benjamin Henrichs (12m – DEF) – 63 points including one goal, one assist and three clean sheets.
- 4. Loïs Openda (14.8m – FOR) – 60 points including four goals and two assists.
Bayern Munich
Despite an away game to Borussia Dortmund in their next four fixtures there could be a total annihilation of their opposition in their other three games. First up on M8 is an away game to second bottom side Mainz before hosting promoted side Darmstadt on MD9. The tricky Dortmund tie comes on M10 before what should be a comfortable home game, at least on paper, against the other promoted side Heidenheim.
With so many good forward options in Bundesliga Fantasy this season will you be able to fit the top two below into your teams?
- 1. Harry Kane (16.9m – FOR) – 100 points including eight goals and four assists.
- 2. Leroy Sané (16.3m – FOR) – 90 points including six goals.
- 3. Alphonso Davies (16m – DEF) – 82 points including three assists and three clean sheets.
- 4. Joshua Kimmich (16.1m – MID) – 64 points including three assists.
Wolfsburg
Aside from taking on the league leaders on MD8 the Wolves then have three games they would be expected to win. On MD8 as noted they host current league leaders Leverkusen before a MD9 away trip to Augsburg.
On MD10 they host a struggling Werder Bremen before travelling to Gladbach on MD10 without a home win so far. To help with who to consider, here are their top scoring assets so far:
- 1. Jonas Wind (11.6m – FOR) – 76 points with seven goals and one assist.
- 2. Mattias Svanberg (9.5M – MID) – 46 points including two assists.
- 3. Joakim Maehle (8.3m – DEF) – 46 points including one goal and two assists.
- 4. Lovro Majer (10.3m – MID) – 40 points including one assist.
What to do with the other top scoring assets? – Serhou Guirassy (14.5m – FOR)
He’s managed 137 points including a Bundesliga record of 13 goals in seven games, along with one assist. The Guinean goal-machine is a keep with Stuttgart’s fixtures against Union Berlin (A), Hoffenheim (H), Heidenheim (A) and Dortmund (H).
Victor Boniface (14.1m – FOR)
Boniface has picked up 112 points including seven goals, two assists and 40 points for goal attempts. It’s not the easiest four game run for Leverkusen with ties against Wolfsburg (A), Freiburg (H), Hoffenheim (A) and Union Berlin (H). With forward spots a premium managers may opt to go without the Nigerian to target forwards with better fixtures each week.
Alejandro Grimaldo (11.6m – DEF)
Grimaldo has bagged 96 points including two goals, three assists and three clean sheets. As the cheaper of the two Leverkusen full-backs managers may look to just own the Spaniard if looking for Leverkusen defensive coverage across the coming games, especially considering his set-piece threat.
Jonas Hofmann (17.1m – MID)
He has banked 95 points including four goals and four assists. Like with the Leverkusen full-backs managers may only opt to go with a single Leverkusen midfielder for coverage given their run of upcoming games. In this instance, I’d personally prefer to spend that little bit more on Hofmann instead of the 15.7m valued Florian Wirtz.
