Bundesliga Fantasy teams to target

Last modified date

German club football is approaching which means fantasy football is back. With the fixtures released and the game launched its time for managers to focus on planning. Because of that we bring in our expert @FPLGunnersaurus to run through Bundesliga Fantasy teams to target for the early stages of the season.

Looking at Bundesliga Fantasy teams to target can be useful for managers. Knowing which teams and players to invest in is crucial to building our teams. It can also help with identifying fixture swings and transfer usage.

Eintracht Frankfurt

Die Adler open up the season hosting newly promoted SV Darmstadt 98 before travelling to Mainz05 on MD2, who started to leak goals for fun at the end of last season. They then host 1. FC Köln on MD3 before travelling to VfL Bochum 1848 on MD4, who of course were battling relegation in the 2022-23 campaign.

On MD5 they host a SC Freiburg side who just missed out on UCL qualification at the Deutsche Bank Park followed by an away trip on MD6 to VfL Wolfsburg. Finishing up this run they host the other promoted team in 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 on MD7. Frankfurt’s fantasy assets look like good value for money across the pitch. Portuguese right-back Buta, with three goals at two assists last season, comes in at 8m.

Lindström’s price has risen to 13m but with the departure of Kamada may see more attacks running through him. Up front Frankfurt have signed Egyptian international Marmoush from VfL Wolfsburg, and valued at 10m could be a bargain should star-striker Kolo Muani depart this summer.

Borussia Dortmund

Die Schwarzgelben host 1. FC Köln on MD1 who they thumped 6-1 in the same fixture last season. They travel to VfL Bochum 1848 on MD2 before hosting newly promoted 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 on MD3, which could see Dortmund demolish the new boys.

A MD4 away trip to SC Freiburg is followed up by a MD5 home tie against VfL Wolfsburg, who they thrashed 6-0 in the same tie on MD31 in 2022-2023. Dortmund then travel to Sinsheim on MD6 to face 1899 Hoffenheim before hosting fellow UCL competitors 1. FC Union Berlin on MD7.

Dortmund were incredibly strong at home last season, scoring for fun and price rises reflect that across their fantasy assets. Up front Adeyemi is the cheapest man across the predicted Malen-Haller-Adeyemi front three, coming in at 13m. In midfield Brandt has risen to 15m but Reus has dropped to 13m, the latter a great price when he starts. In defence Schlotterbeck, who missed a lot of April/May, drops to an incredible value of 11m and their signing from Gladbach Bensebaini starts the season at 13m.

Bayern Munich

Die Bayern also gave a great opening schedule up to the expected first wildcard of the season. They travel to Werder Bremen on MD1, confirmed to be on a Friday night as a stand-alone fixture to kick off the season. Bayern then host FC Augsburg on MD2 before travelling to a depleted Borussia Mönchengladbach side on MD3 who have lost the likes of Bensebaini, Stindl and Thuram this summer.

They then host twice in a row against Bayer 04 Leverkusen on MD4 and VfL Bochum 1848 on MD5. A tricky tie awaits them on MD6 away to RB Leipzig before they finish up before the international break hosting SC Freiburg on MD7.

After a season where they only clinched the league on the final day a number of their assets have dropped in price. In midfield we find that Musiala has switched from a forward and valued at 15m is likely to feature heavily in manager’s squads. Up front no forward is valued at more than 14m with Sané, Mané and Gnabry all at that 14m value. In defence Canadian left-back Davies has dropped to 15m. Pavard should he stay at the club is fantastic value at only 12m too.
