Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 9 Top Picks

Last modified date

The new season of German League football continues! So, we take a look at the Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 9 top picks. Bundesliga Fantasy expert and regular contributor @Big4FPL reveals three of the best defenders, midfielders and forwards for the new round.

The Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 9 top picks can be extremely useful for managers. With lots of changes to the game this season it could be difficult to adjust for managers. But the following top picks can help you bring clarity to some of the decisions you have to make ahead of the deadline.

Defenders – Patrick Mainka (8m – 3%)

At the start of the season, Mainka was firmly on my radar given he was one of the highest duel winners in the Bundesliga last season. Although he hasn’t set the world alight, he is averaging 145 points per game. I see this week vs Kiel being a chance to hit scores such as his 198 last week, scoring above his average rather than below.

Nico Schlotterbeck (14m – 5%)

Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 9 Top Picks

Dortmund have been a difficult team to invest in this season, and much more was expected of Schlotti with his reputation for winning lots of duals and playing long balls. Recently he has got back to the form we know, with an average of 175. Playing a Leipzig team without Xavi Simons, I see another 200 pointer on the cards.

Mitchell Weiser (13m – 17%)

Slightly higher owned than the previous two picks, Weiser has been a beast this season – even playing in the front three at times. Although in the previous match he only scored 95 points, I can see him returning to form with a score more closely in line with his average of 217.

Midfielders – Paul Wanner (8m – 24%)

Even though he is owned by nearly a quarter of the game, Wanner hasn’t been a mainstay in some of the higher ranked teams. However, I expect this to change this week with a match vs Kiel. The young German should build on his strong start to the season in the round ahead.

Nadiem Amiri (13m – 2%)

Amiri hasn’t hit less than 200 points in any fixture this season, other than when he received a red card. A match against Freiberg gives him another chance to continue this form and provide a solid mid-priced option for our midfields.

Tom Bischof – (5m – 4%)

He isn’t the most exciting pick, but one that banks on Hoffenheim’s good run of fixtures. At the bargain price of 5m Tom Bischof is still a strong option if opting for a 442 with a playing bench. A match against Pauli gives him a chance to build on his last two weeks where he has hit an average of circa 200 points.

Strikers – Victor Boniface (18m – 6%)

Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 9 Top Picks

Despite a strong show of form averaging over 200 points this season, the Leverkusen target man remains at only 6% ownership. Stuttgart have been leaky away from home and I can see Boniface hitting a decent score, in the same way Kane was able to vs the same opposition.

Omar Marmoush – (11m – 59%)

Bundesliga fantasy players shouldn’t need reminding of Marmoush this season as the top goal scorer in the league. But, after a couple of tough fixtures, a match against Bochum should see Marmoush back up and running as the best valued striker in the game.

Marvin Ducksch (10m – 2%)

Similar to Weiser, I can see Bremen players doing well against a Gladbach team that has been a bit of a lottery to predict. As such, Bremen’s main man makes my selections, being involved in set pieces as well as leading the line.
