Notes
- It’s time to get ack into the swing of the Bundesliga season after the international break, I’m starting in the top 1k and hoping to continue progressing.
- My picks include: – Kane and Guirassy in a 343. Although 442 is the better formation I can’t decide on four defenders I’m keen on for this week.
- Olise and Doan fill in as my premium midfielders and seem no brainers.
- Defence is largely built on those who have performed well already to capitalise on some early price rises.
- Kane, Olise and Oppie get the star player picks.

Notes
- The first two weeks didn’t go very well, which makes the wildcard the perfect opportunity to turn things around.
- Formation: 4-4-2.
- Goalkeepers: Ramaj (5.26 – HEI) and Backhaus (4.2 – SVW). Ramaj and Backhausare are still the cheapest starting goalkeepers. So, there’s no reason to change them, even with a wildcard and Backhaus performing poorly.
- Defenders: Quansah (10.33 – B04), Bernardo (9.03 – TSG), Muheim (8.85 – HSV), Agu (7.91 – SVW) and Oppie* (5.88 – STP). In defence, I have selected players who consistently win a lot of duels and display attacking threat. Quansah looks dangerous from set pieces, Muheim is on set pieces, Bernardo and Aguhave proven to be real duel monsters and Oppie does a bit of everything and takes up good positions in the box. I really like Kristensen and Anton/Bensebainitoo but funds don’t allow for it at the moment.
- Midfielders: Olise* (25.1 – FCB), Doan (15.27 – SCF), Amiri (13.38 – M05), Baumgartner (7.74 – RBL) and Manzambi (5.98 – SCF). Olise and Doan are nailed for me after their impressive starts to the season. Amiri seems to be the next best MID and will be in my team if I don’t opt for Guirassy, which is likely. Baumgartner and Manzambi complete my midfield. Baumgartner shows up as Simons’ replacement against Heidenheim and Manzambi keeping up a good baseline of points. Wimmer and Kaminski are in my considerations too but I can’t afford Wimmer and I’m not convinced by Kaminski’s floor of points, even if he has impressed.
- Forwards: Kane* (24.1 – FCB), Leweling (7.96 – VFB) and Sinani (7.79 – STP). Going without Kane has not gone well. With a home fixture against a weak HSV, I’m not making that mistake again. While I really want Guirassy, I don’t like the sacrifices I have to make for him, meaning Leweling and Sinani are my remaining forwards. Both are nailed and I’m hoping that with their good floor of points and Sinani on penalties, they can make up for no Guirassy.

Notes
- I’m around rank 3k after the first two matchdays, which is not yet where I wanted to be. But, I’m sticking with my 442-strategy which got me a top 30 finish last season.
- This is my team at the moment, but a couple of players may still change (Grimaldo, Chaibi, Doan, Diks).
- I would like to bring in another Bayern player, but they are expensive. Kane and Olise are my non negotiable star picks.

Notes
- Budget gaining – is this the new meta? Another 4-4-2 is almost certain. Since price rises include not only the last Matchday score but also the previous matchday, I imagine it’s not just the two last games average, but 3/5/all. Therefore I will want to target those who did well so far (and still expect to do well in the future).
- Attack: Kane is on a great score in the first two and has HSV at home, easy star. Sinani and another forward (Lemperle) is a no Guirassy route I am currently leaning to due to their good fixtures. In addition, their price rise potential and Sinani’ floor, is basically a bet one of them gets a score close to Guirassy.
- Midfield: Olise who is obviously essential gets star. Doan is in who due to his high score so far and likely another price rise and his good floor due to duels is also close to must have. Amiri with his floor and decent score so far is an easy pick too. Kamiński and Manzambi are cheap, on good scores and have decent fixtures, so they are nice options to complete the midfield.
- Defence: Bernardo is duel machine and with a good fixture, is probably one of the best star defenders this week if not the best. Quansah is on a great score, so he’ll likely get another price rise and seems to do great with duels. Anton is very similar to Quansah in that regard, I’m not so sure about him but in my current team idea he is in. Oppie has banked plenty of points so far and is very cheap, easy choice. Costa is cheap and on decent score so he should rise in price.
- Keepers: Ramaj is cheap and on okayish score, so I don’t mind him. Nubel is at the moment in due to a combination of price and total score, which makes him likely to rise in price.

Notes
- The second round was good enough for me, I ended around 5k and hopefully I’ll make progress this week too.
- For the next Matchday, I have limited transfers and Frankfurt, Bayern and Dortmund have UCL games ahead.
- The Bayern fixture is straight forward, Olise will stay. However, I will transfer at least one of Kane and Diaz.
- In defence I’ll target Diks and Oppie/Bernardo. In midfield Manzambi, Amiri and Hack are on my list, whilst up front Sinani will be there.
- My star players are Kane/Diaz, Olise and Oppie/Bernardo, I’ll decide on transfers on deadline day after collecting daily cash outs, good luck everyone!
