Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 11 Top Picks
The new season of German League football continues! So, we take a look at the Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 11 top picks. Bundesliga Fantasy expert and regular contributor @Big4FPL reveals three of the best defenders, midfielders and forwards for the new round.
The Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 11 top picks can be extremely useful for managers. With lots of changes to the game this season it could be difficult to adjust for managers. But the following top picks can help you bring clarity to some of the decisions you have to make ahead of the deadline.
Note: The international break is over, which means planning our unlimited transfers, with a slightly longer term view given there is no international break till next March. In this article I’ll take you through some of my top picks for the week(s) ahead.
Defenders – Nathaniel Brown (5m – 3%)
At just 5m, the Frankfurt wingback has been doing wonders in his price bracket, given injuries to players such as Kristensen. With another good fixture ahead, Brown feels like a great option to pair with Geshwill if looking to go cheap at the back to fund premium options elsewhere – especially this week with Bayern, Leverkusen and Stuttgart all having good fixtures.
Anthony Caci (10m – 3%)
Mainz have a strong run of fixtures upcoming, and Caci has been a consistent, under the radar pick all season with his duals won, alongside the odd attacking contribution. With the fixtures upcoming, jumping on a couple of Mainz assets seems a reasonable tactic to moving up the ranks in the coming weeks.
Maximilian Mittelstädt (17m – 7%)
Stuttgart have been a little hit and miss at times, despite a strong season in all competitions – but Mittelstädt has averaged 222 points a match and is a player who offers explosiveness, even if this comes with a price tag. Although there is UCL upcoming, I back Maximillian to deliver in a prime fixture against struggling Bochum.
Midfielders – Jamal Musiala (20m – 25%)
This may seem a bit of an obvious choice, but Musiala is still “only” in 25% of teams right now – his price tag makes him difficult to slot in alongside the likes of Wirtz and Kane, but with some of the budget options emerging and Musiala seemingly back to his best, it seems fitting him in to your team is a real must and a risk of a Friday night red arrow if you go without.
Nadiem Amiri (13m – 4%)
Amiri hasn’t hit less than 200 points in any fixture this season, other than one poor showing vs Freiburg and when he was red carded earlier in the season. With Mainz upcoming fixtures, he seems a shoe-in if you can stretch your midfield to get him in.
Tom Bischof (5m – 18%)
Regularly included in my picks, I’m going to keep calling Bischof out until his ownership is over 30%….at 5m you will not find better value to utilize the Bundesliga auto sub rules and have someone with a floor of 100+ points to jump in when something inevitably goes wrong elsewhere in your midfield. With players just back from the international break and European fixtures midweek, now is the time to make sure you have bench cover.
Strikers – Jonathan Burkardt (10m – 3%)
Following on from my previous Mainz picks, Burkardt has averaged 188 points this season and has a prime fixture vs Kiel. At 10m, he offers a nice low budget alternative to Amiri in midfield and has the potential to score a mammoth score, even if he has not quite managed to hit a 300+ point score yet this season.
Deniz Undav (13m – 7%)
Are you going to roll the Undav lottery? A frustrating own this season, with an average of 164 that has consisted of highs of 337 and lows of being rested for the UCL, but it’s undeniable that if he gets the game time then he has the potential to hit higher than the 337 vs Dortmund earlier in the season. A gamble – yes, but one that could be worth a chance this week.
Tim Kleindienst (12m – 18%)
Off the back of a successful call up for Germany, the big man comes up against a Pauli defence that has been relatively solid but has looked exposed at times. The back line for Pauli doesn’t have the height to deal with the directness here and I’m backing him to continue his fine form that has seen him average over 200 points a game over the season.
