- Here’s my team for MD1. It’s quite difficult to cram all of the best premium assets in, but I’ve given it a shot.
- The 1m players are purely placeholders and aren’t necessarily the best for their price point. I imagine this will change between now and Friday, especially as team news emerges.
- I’ve tried to fit Kane in, but it’s a massive challenge with his 20m price tag.
- After some consideration, I believe having all four of Brandt, Simons, Musiala, and Openda provides more overall value than relying on Kane alone.
- One option could be to downgrade one of the three premium midfielders, which would allow me to strengthen the defence and reduce the need for relying on a 1m player. This balanced approach might offer better consistency across the team.

- This is my team currently.
- I have gone for a 4-4-2 formation with different midfield options than the usual ones.
- Openda and Kramaric are my starting forwards alongside Breunig on the bench.
- I really like how quickly Olise got connected to the team and he has been in really good form since the Olympics. Bayern also face Wolfsburg at home which is tempting me to buy him.
- I have gone for Millot instead of Führich as I see Millot being the centre of the Stuttgart attack, creating brilliant chances!
- Xavi Simons is back at Leipzig. He faces Bochum who are missing some defenders so he is locked as as my star in midfield.
- I also picked newcomer Pascal Gross of Borussia Dortmund. Just like Brighton he will be a key player and asset for Dortmund.
- My defence is also locked with Grimaldo and Schlotterbeck. The new rules make Schlotterbeck more appealing at home.
- As I couldn’t pick Mittlestadt I have gone with Vagnoman.
- David Raum, despite being benched for the first few matches at the latest Euros he showed he is the best attacking Fullback for Germany. Again Bochum are terrible so I have gone with triple Leipzig.
- The goalkeeper gloves go to Labrovic as a budget pick.

- This seasons change in scoring presents the challenge of consistency vs explosiveness. For those not aware, under the new scoring someone like Xhaka had a similar weekly average to a player such as Musiala…but Xhaka would tick over with 200 points a week whilst Musiala will fluctuate between under 100 points alongside 400+ hauls.
- Based on the above I’ve tried to get a mix of the both, noting my explosive players as Xavi, Wirtz, Grimaldo, Kane and Openda vs the “steady” players of Gross, Anton, Stach etc.
- Positions that I may change include Stach, Kohr, Smith, Anton and Gross, but for now they are in there for safety of minutes and a higher floor (even if their ceiling isn’t huge).
- My final thoughts; this season is completely different to last, so given the first unlimited transfer period is in two GWs, focus on making some fun punts and putting the budget into the XI without the on sale budget building aspect.

- Forwards will be similar to others. I am sacrificing Kane because forwards will get less points if they do not score goals.
- Midfield is locked with five players for me. This is because they can get bonuses from dribbles completed, passes completed, chances created and key passes.
- Musiala is in, Simons is locked similar to almost everyone. I went for GroB over Brandt because I think he can cover 3m with long passes and key passes. I also chose the differential Schmid, he was one of best for chances created, Werder Bremen also have okay fixtures to start the season.
- İn defence Grimaldo and Schlotterbeck are locked. I also picked Smith who will be on set pieces for St. Pauli.
