Bundesliga Fantasy best players so far
The international break is here and German League football is on pause. With that in mind we can look back and reflect on the Bundesliga Fantasy best players so far with the help of our expert manager and regular contributor @FPLPlatinum.
It has been a turbulent start to the campaign with lots of surprises. Because of that looking at the Bundesliga Fantasy best players could help highlight star players and potential assets for the fixtures ahead.
Victor Boniface – 13m, 27% owned, Bayer Leverkusen – 25 points
The Nigerian has been at the front and centre of Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen’s impressive start to the season, which has seen them score 19 goals in three games. Boniface picked up two goals and one assist vs relegation candidates Darmstadt 98 from an xG of 0.98. He could be an incredible asset if he maintains his form, and rewarded those who risked him with the star over Kane.
Jeremie Frimpong – 15.1m, 42% owned, Bayer Leverkusen – 23 points
The former Celtic wing-back has been equally as impressive for Bayer Leverkusen this season. The Dutchman amassed 23 points in MD3 – more than any other defender. He kept a clean sheet, got two assists, and only played 72 minutes. Frimpong is an essential for anyone who doesn’t own, and has been one of the best Bundesliga Fantasy assets for a while now.
Joshua Kimmich – 15.7m, 19% owned, Bayern Munich – 21 points
The dynamic midfielder picked up two assists as Bayern triumphed 2-1 over their foes BMG. While Münchengladbach have been a bogey fixture of sorts for Bayern, they had managed to lift the curse thanks to Kimmich. The top scoring midfielder in MD3, he picked up 21 points and played a terrific game. While his low attacking output limits his ownership, he’s still a relatively safe asset to own if managers are seeing consistent scores.
Xavi Simons – 14.8m, 18% owned, RB Leipzig – 20 points
After impressing at PSV, PSG used their buy-back-clause on Simmons and immediately loaned him to RB Leipzig. Despite losing to Leverkusen in MD1, Leipzig have scored 10 goals in three games and Simons has been at the heart of the attack. He collected three assists and two goals. He managed one goal and one assist vs Union Berlin as Marco Rose’s side dispatched them 3-0 away from home. Simmons is an asset many managers are looking to bring in. He is also an excellent candidate to consider for your unlimited transfers during the international break.
