Bundesliga Fantasy 23/24 Position Changes

Last modified date

Bundesliga Fantasy 23/24 is live! Because of that with the help of expert manager @FPLPlatinum (Ross) we take a look through some of the most noticeable position changes since the previous season and how that could affect them as assets moving forward.

Position changes can have a huge effect on the attractiveness of any given asset. Players can score more or less points depending on their position. For that reason, it is hugely beneficial to be aware of these position changes ahead of the new season.

Jamal Musiala FWD -> MID – Bayern Munich – 15m

Musiala was in fine form for Bayern last season, notching up an impressive points total and registering himself as one of the highest scoring forwards in the game. A midfielder in previous seasons, the youngster is reinstated as a midfielder following his only season as a forward. This change can allow managers to pick Bayern forwards such as Coman, Mane or Sane, and still have space for Musiala in the midfield.

The German international can only improve with age and it’s expected he plays an even more prominent role in Tuchel’s team next year. Musiala will set managers back 15m, making him the shared second most expensive asset in the game, but the price will prove to be worth it if he continues his form listed a midfielder.

Dani Olmo FWD -> MID – RB Leipzig – 14m

Just like Musiala, Olmo was listed as a midfielder in the 21/22 version of the game. He changed to a forward in the 22/23 version. Olmo has changed position from a forward to a midfielder. This places him in direct competition with Dominic Szoboszlai, who is priced at 15m.

Olmo has been given a 14m price tag, which could sway managers to pick him over Szoboszlai. With Christopher Nkunku all but officially leaving Die Rotten Bullen, Olmo’s place in the team should be more secure and can provide greater point potential than last year.

Ansgar Knauff FWD -> MID – Frankfurt – 8m

Frankfurt recently signed Knauff. The fee was around £4.3m following a loan spell from Borussia Dortmund. Last season was underwhelming from an attacking perspective for the German, starting only 14 games and picking up merely one goal and one assist.

Despite that, there is potential for the youngster to play a more prominent role next season and could become a punt option in midfield if Frankfurt have injuries in his spot or Knauff plays more games. While it’s hard to recommend Knauff as an option right now, his position change could help his potential as an asset.

Robert Skov -> FWD -> MID – Hoffenheim Skov – 7m

Skov was listed a forward for the 22/23 season, but has now been changed to a midfielder. Unfortunately, the Danish international had a campaign ravaged with injury, as he only managed to start 16/34 games. Despite his limited starts, he still accumulated five G/A for a struggling Hoffenheim.

He also appeared to be on penalties when the opportunity arose, scoring 2/2 penalties. Skov is priced at 7m and had slowly managed to creep his way back into the side following his return from injury in March. If he remains on penalties and stays injury-free, Skov could be a promising cheap midfielder for the 23/24 season.
