Notes

  • It’s my first draft of the new season!
  • Whilst we await the first cup games to gain certainty on starters and enablers, the core of my team is built: – Kane and Guirassy up front is very premium, which hurts the rest of the squad. It’s probably the part I’m least certain on. But, currently with an unlimited transfer window after two matchdays, I’m willing to chase the upside.
  • Olise and Amiri are nailed in the team for me. You get what you pay for from the premium midfielders.
  • In defence, Tah and Svensson seem like steals, so they will most likely make my final draft.
  • Caci is a placeholder for my favourite premium defender that comes up, though it could end up being Caci after last seasons returns.
  • My goalkeeper is the cheapest starter in the game and should be solid with HDH conceding a lot of shots.
  • Star players will likely be the Bayern trio with a Friday fixture, but Guirassy also tempts me instead of Kane.

Bundesliga Fantasy 2025-26 First Draft Team Reveals

Notes

  • As it is a pre-MD1 team reveal, we are yet to receive a lot of information between now and the MD1 deadline. This weekend’s DFB Pokal fixtures, the Supercup between Stuttgart and Bayern, and the final pressers before the deadline will be important in deciding our teams.
  • Formation: 4-4-2. One of the most important elements of my good rank last season (second in the world) was sticking with the 4-4-2 formation, to have a substitute on the bench for every position. This season will not be any different.
  • Goalkeepers: Ramaj (5.0 – HEI) and Schwäbe (7.8 – KOE). Ramaj is the cheapest GK we know will start, so he is 100% nailed in my team. For now, I have the Schwäbe as my second GK. But, if there are indications that Peretz (1.1 – HSV) is first choice, he is in.
  • Defenders: Tah (9.4 – FCB), Svensson (8.7 – BVB), Assignon (7.6 – VFB), Diks (6.3 – BMG) and Oppie (4.3 – STP). Tah, Svensson and Diks make up the core of the defence. Tah and Svensson are fantastic value, and Diks is the first choice penalty taker at his club. Assignon is likely to be the first player to be upgraded if Peretz becomes first choice. But for now, I like Stuttgart’s fixture in MD1 against Union Berlin and Stuttgart fullbacks have scored well in the past. Oppie currently occupies the spot of cheapest defender as he is practically nailed as left wingback and (possibly) on set pieces.
  • Midfielders: Olise (23.5 – FCB), Amiri (13.4 – M05), Grifo (12.7 – SCF), Stöger (11.3 – BMG) and Kaminski (4.7 – KOE). The Olise pick probably needs no further explanation. Amiri and Grifo have good fixtures in the first two MDs, take all set pieces including penalties, and are proven assets. Stöger was a proven asset during his time at Bochum. However, he failed to make much of an impact last season at Gladbach. But, with the injuries to Kleindienst and new signing Machino, it seems that he has secured a place in the starting XI and will be taking a lot of set pieces. As the cheapest midfielders, I really like Burger (4.8 – TSG), Kömür (4.6 – FCA), and Kaminski (4.7 – KOE). Kömür and Kaminski are on set pieces, but since Köln’s fixtures look better, I’m going Kaminski.
  • Forwards: Guirassy (19.3 – BVB), Woltemade (13.1 – VFB) and Sahiti (2.8 – HSV). Guirassy is a lock for me. This is due to his form since the end of last season and the good first two fixtures, where he is a clear option for star player. Woltemade is in because of his fixture in MD1, him taking penalties, and I think he will score well in this points system with his duels won. Sahiti is the cheapest forward expected to start, so he’s in for now. However, Pejcinovic (3.0 – WOB) has caught my interest. He could take this spot depending on news between now and the deadline.

Notes

  • Stars: Kane – talisman on pens for Bayern in a home fixture, nothing more I can add.
  • Olise – the best asset in the game, on some set pieces, playing for Bayern while being basically the only premium mid.
  • Tah – we will know if he starts, shouldn’t concede many goals and should be good for duels.
  • Notable mentions: Guirassy – 90 minutes, nailed with good pen share for a good team. There may be better values among forwards after we see their minutes in cup games.
  • Amiri – good fixture, on set pieces, lack of premium mids make him my second favourite in md1 after Olise.
  • Bernardo – despite a difficult fixture, he is quite cheap and produces duels.
  • Keepers – Ramaj is cheap and starts. Peretz is almost free and 50/50 to start. Let’s see who will be the second cheapest keeper sure to start after Ramaj. But for now Peretz is a nice option.
  • Generally I tried to pick players who should start.
