How Has FPL Changed?
The new season is approaching and there have been some brand new changes to FPL. How has FPL changed? In this article we briefly touch upon all of the new changes, explain what they mean and how they could potentially change the way we play the game.
For years the community has asked for brand new changes to FPL and they have finally happened. Changes to the game can dramatically change how fantasy managers approach, plan and play the game so understanding them is vital. So, how has FPL changed?
Five Free Transfers
As you can see Fantasy Premier League managers now have up to FIVE free transfers at their disposal for the new campaign ahead.
The above means managers can save up to five free transfers. What is even more significant is that the transfers you save do not reduce to zero when and after playing a chip.
This could mean that FPL managers now have the opportunity to ‘mini-wildcard’ if they are careful with their free transfers.
Chip Change
As you can see there is a new ‘Mystery Chip’ this season too! Although on show FPL managers won’t be able to use the ‘Mystery Chip’ until its power is revealed in January 2025.
You may also be able to see that chips like Bench Boost, Triple Captain, Free Hit and Wildcard also remain. So none of the four mentioned have gone anywhere!
Pitch Design
Pitch design is another big change. Those who played FPL Challenge last season may remember the layout above.
Player cards have been added which will give users even more information.
Changes to Point Scoring
You can also see they have adjusted some of the points scoring and how they are awarded. One of the biggest changes is that goalkeepers will now earn 10 points for scoring a goal rather than six. You may also notice that there has been some changes to the bonus point system as detailed above.
