Best Wildcard Team for UCL Fantasy Matchday 15

This week could be a great opportunity to play a chip. But, if you’re not sure how your squad should look, then you’re in the right place. Here we build the best wildcard team for UCL Fantasy Matchday 15.
Knowing who to pick on your wildcard may be crucial to navigating the new fixtures and key player injuries, so let’s take a look.
Best Wildcard Team for UCL Fantasy Matchday 15
Arsenal’ home fixture against PSG, and their excellent defensive data this season suggests backing the defence a wise move. To do that we could go for David Raya (€5.6m). Another top defence, but arguably the best in Europe this season is Inter. If Raya fails to keep any clean sheets then Yann Sommer (€5.5m) could be a great alternative.
Doubling up on the Arsenal defence makes sense, and UCL Fantasy managers can do that via centre-back William Saliba (€5.5m). In the same tie, a PSG double up of Nuno Mendes (€5.9m) and Achraf Hakimi (€5.7m) is very appealing. Although playing in a hit and miss backline, both have evident attacking threat based on their recent output.
Another defensive double we should consider is Inter. So, to add to Sommer who we have between the sticks, is centre-back Benjamin Pavard (€5m) Pavard has shown to be reliable for gametime, but also scored against Bayern in Matchday 14.

PSG may play away from home, but the French side have proven their quality regardless of venue in the Champions League. With that in mind, and due to the lack of reliable options elsewhere, owning both Ousmane Dembele (€8.6m) and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (€7.6m) could be beneficial. Both have been excellent as of late, so don’t be surprised if they have success.
Barcelona have one of the most fluid and effective frontlines in Europe, so even in a game against Inter, an attacking double up is arguably essential. Essential is the right word we can use to describe Raphinha (€7.9m) actually due to his excellent campaign. But who to pair with him could be the debate. Whilst sticking with Lamine Yamal (€7.4m) could be the play, Ferran Torres (€6.8m) will likely play out of position, replacing the injured Robert Lewandowski up front.
Arsenal attacking investment is absolutely critical when taking into account PSG’ poor defensive form in all competitions this season. The best of the bunch is of course penalty taker Bukayo Saka (€9m). Saka could also be a great captaincy option in each of the upcoming Matchdays.
With no viable striker options outside of the Inter forwards, that’s where we will rest our hat. Lautaro Martinez (€9.4m) is probably the best of their three – with returns in each of the last five matches. Teammate Marcus Thuram (€7.6m) should also start, he too has been one of the top performing forwards of the previous several rounds.
Mehdi Taremi (€7.2m) is the only other striker likely to feature in Matchday 15. Inter like to rotate and manage the minutes of their main strikers, so Taremi usually sees plenty of minutes.
