This week could be a great opportunity to play a chip, but if you’re not sure how your squad should look, then you’re in the right place. Here we build the best wildcard team for UCL Fantasy Matchday 13.
Knowing who to pick on your wildcard may be crucial to navigating the new fixtures and key player injuries, so let’s take a look.
Best Wildcard Team for UCL Fantasy Matchday 13
In goal is Yann Sommer (€5.5m), who plays for the best defence in the Champions League. Sommer is a safe route into a rotation filled backline.
Joining him, and arguably with the best fixture on paper in the next two rounds is Gianluigi Donnarumma (€5.8m). PSG face an inconsistent Aston Villa side which means two opportunities to keep a clean sheet.
In defence and completing an Inter double up is wing-back Federico Dimarco (€5.5m), who has produced two assists and a goal in his last three games. He is joined buy Dortmund centre-back and ball recovery specialist Nico Schlotterbeck (€5m).
Two clean sheets in the last two rounds makes Bayern appealing against Inter from a defensive perspective. With this in mind, standout defender pick and centre-back Kimi Min-Jae (€5.2m) eases his way in.
Tripling up on the PSG defence could be a bold but aggressive way to gain rank. Because of this both Achraf Hakimi (€5.7m) and Willian Pacho (€5m) make the cut. The former has huge attacking threat, whilst the latter has proven ball recovery talent in the Champions League.

PSG have huge attacking potential against Aston Villa based on the English sides defensive record in all competitions. Their best option is without a doubt Ousmane Dembele (€8.5m) with 30+ attacking contributions this season. Fellow midfielder Bradley Barcola (€7.2m) is another very effective way into the PSG attack.
Attacking double-ups seem to the way to go this week. Barcelona are relentless goal scorers and have shown that across all competitions this season. Raphinha (€7.7m) has become an essential for UCL Fantasy managers, so pairing him with Lamine Yamal (€7.3m) could be hugely rewarding.
Completing the midfield, and recently returning from injury is Arsenal penalty taker Bukayo Saka (€9m). Saka has been excellent over the previous several years, so backing against him against a leaky Real Madrid could be punishing.
Up front, one of the best performing assets in the game has returned from injury. Dortmund’ Serhou Guirassy (€8.2m) marked his return with a goal in the Bundesliga, and faces a very poor Barcelona defence in the next two rounds.
Real Madrid may be ropey defensively, but you simply have to back them in the latter stages of the Champions League from an offensive perspective. With that in mind, Kylian Mbappe (€11.1m) could be a shoo-in. He is joined by Barcelona striker and penalty taker Robert Lewandowski (€9.6m). Both players have notched up 30+ attacking returns this campaign.
