Best Teams to Target in EURO Fantasy Matchday 3
We continue our coverage of the summer tournament as we take a look at the best teams to target in EURO Fantasy Matchday 3. We focus on teams who have big potential in the round ahead in regards to investment.
Looking ahead could be a wise move. Knowing the best teams to target in EURO Fantasy Matchday 3 can help fantasy managers with lots of different factors from chip strategy to using transfers. So with that in mind let’s dive in.
Germany
The hosts look extremely strong and they don’t seem to be slowing down. After dismantling Scotland 5-1 in Matchday 1 the Germans then went onto beat Hungary 2-0.
Seven goals scored and just one conceded makes them investable both from a defensive and offensive perspective. That same appeal multiplies with the fact they come up against a Switzerland side whom have failed to keep a single clean sheet so far.
One of the most important factors backing Germany this week as that they are one of four sides to play in the first kick-off. This means that we have access to the line-ups prior to the EURO Fantasy deadline, meaning we can hand pick players for our teams.
France
France came into the tournament as favourites and they haven’t failed to impress. At the end of their Qualifying campaign Deschamps and his men had racked up a huge 3.6 goals scored per game and six clean sheets in just eight matches, so confidence was sky high.
Unlike Netherlands and Spain, France tend to rotate much less, a way of thinking instilled in Deschamps. The assets likely to rotate if any include the centre-backs and the wingers, so it’s likely that all of the best players to buy start against Poland anyway.
England
England are another top side we should look to in terms of investment this week. Similar to France they come into the new EURO’s finals as one of the favourites to win the whole competition.
Slovenia lay ahead for England, and although they held a draw against Denmark in Matchday 1, they were also dominated by them for much of the game. Slovenia appeared starved of attacking opportunities but also look hugely susceptible at the back, and because of this and the above, investing in England could be hugely rewarding.
We also have to take into account the manager. Gareth Southgate seems to lack appetite when it comes to rotating players and that same loss of appetite can be really helpful when predicting who will start.
Belgium
Belgium have a lot to do towards convincing football fans they are still one of the top teams. Prior to the tournament they topped Qualifying with 22 goals scored, 2.8 goals scored per game on average, and five clean sheets, so expectations were high.
Football fans also expected more from Ukraine who Belgium face in the final round. Ukraine flopped to a surprise 3-0 defeat at the hands of Romania.
Belgium lost their first match which means they go into their Matchday 3 clash needing to win. With that in mind it is highly likely that they start their best players, which in turn means EURO Fantasy should be looking to invest.
