Best projected points for FPL Gameweek 8

The new round of fantasy football is approaching so we take a look at the players with the best projected points for FPL Gameweek 8. With the help of the Fantasy Football Scout members area we can pick out assets with the most potential for the fixtures ahead.

As we approach the new round fantasy managers are looking for the best players to include in their squads. Because of this looking at the projected points for FPL Gameweek 8 can help bring clarity to some of your decisions.

Projected points for Gameweek 8

  • Erling Haaland – Manchester City face a very tough clash with Arsenal in Gameweek 8. However, the Norwegian is still set for more points than any other player in the game with 5.86 points. Haaland just edges Son.
  • Son Heung-min – The Tottenham midfielder has been in excellent form since playing in a strikers role. Son has managed a huge 43 points in his last four matches. He faces Luton up next so it could be a big week (5.76 points).
  • Bruno Fernandes – Its been a rocky start for both his club and his FPL returns. Fernandes faces a tough Brentford side up next. He will be hoping to add to the 10-point return he claimed in Gameweek 6. Fernandes looks like he could hit 5.35 points this week.
  • Mohamed Salah – Not far behind Bruno Fernandes is this man (5.33 points). Liverpool are in very strong scoring form this season and come up against Brighton next whom have failed to keep a single clean sheet so far this season.
  • Marcus Rashford – Another Manchester United asset to frustrate owners this season makes the top five (5.17 points). Rashford has failed to secure returns in any of his last three league matches so this week looks to be his week.

Who else is set to return?

  • Raheem Sterling – Chelsea have been incredibly disappointing in terms of FPL this season. Sterling ranks sixth this week (5.17 points) however has failed to pick up a significant return in his last three matches at the time of writing. He faces Burnley next up which could be a great chance to correct his poor run.
  • James Maddison – Some could be surprised he doesn’t sit higher in the list this week (4.19 points). Maddison comes up against a very poor Luton defensive unit and has collected four returns in his first seven matches for owners.
  • Ollie Watkins – The Aston Villa striker reminded everyone of how good he can be in Gameweek 7 as he managed a massive 23-point haul for his three goals and two assists. He looks like he will bag 4.54 points in Gameweek 8 against Wolves.
  • Bernd Leno – He is the only goalkeeper to make the cut this week (4.53 points). The German currently sits as the highest scoring goalkeeper in the game but comes up against Sheffield United next so has a great chance to extend his lead.
  • Eberechi Eze – The final player to make the top 10 this week is this man (4.49 points). Its been a frustrating season for Eze owners this campaign. However, Nottingham Forest lay ahead which provides him a great opportunity to pick up some points.
