Best Premium Players for UCL Fantasy 2025/26

When building your Champions League Fantasy squad, choosing the right big-hitters is crucial. That’s why in this guide to the best premium players for UCL Fantasy 2025/26, we’ll break down the standout options in every position – from goalkeepers and defenders to midfielders and forwards.

These are the names most likely to deliver consistent returns and justify their price tags. So, let’s get into it.

Goalkeepers

Best Premium Players for UCL Fantasy 2025/26

There are six goalkeepers priced at €6m this season. One of them is Inter’ Yann Sommer. The veteran helped the Italian side keep a jaw-dropping seven clean sheets in their eight 2024/25 League Phase matches. Because of this, Sommer was the highest scoring goalkeeper in the game last season. He also has excellent starting fixtures against Ajax, Slavia Praha, Union Galloise, and Kairat in the campaign ahead.

Real Madrid are regulars in the latter stages of the Champions League, and this makes Thibaut Courtois one of the most appealing options among the premiums. Los Blancos start their campaign with matches against Marseille, Kairat, and Juventus, which could see them keep clean sheets.

UCL Fantasy continue to price Atleti’ Jan Oblak highly. This is despite poor defensive performances in recent years. The Spanish side also have a rough early fixture list – facing off with the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Inter in their first five outings.

Defenders

Seven defenders have been priced at €6m for the upcoming season. Among them, and arguably with one of the best starting schedules is centre-back William Saliba. Arsenal meet with Athletic Club, Olympiakos, Atleti and Slavia Praha, which could give the Frenchman plenty of opportunities to secure points.

New Real Madrid signing Trent Alexander-Arnold also comes in with a hefty price-tag. The former Liverpool man is yet to display his historical and relentless assist potential for Los Blancos – having registered just one in eight matches. Good early fixtures may change his current underwhelming output.

After keeping seven clean sheets in their eight League Phase matches last season, and taking into their excellent early schedule, Inter will almost certainly catch the attention of UCL Fantasy managers. One of their standout options at the back is flying wing-back Denzel Dumfries who has already found the net this season domestically.

Midfielders

Best Premium Players for UCL Fantasy 2025/26

Any player priced above €8.5m could be considered as a premium option. The first player we have to mention is Barcelona star Raphinha who has been priced at €9.5m. The Brazilian amassed a jaw-dropping 137 points due to 13 goals and nine assists – making him the highest scoring midfielder in the game. The Catalans have a mixed bag of starting fixtures – starting with clashes against Newcastle and PSG with Olympiakos and Club Brugge immediately after.

Another significant asset due to his position change is Vinicius Junior. The Real Madrid star has been converted from a forward to a midfielder ahead of the new season. Extra points for goals and clean sheets makes this change a hugely appealing one for UCL Fantasy managers.

After two years of Champions League absence, Chelsea return to the fold. Many will be excited to see what talisman Cole Palmer can do after setting the Club World Cup alight recently. An example of his quality came in the final where he scored twice and registered an assist against European Champions PSG.

Other big names among the premium midfielders include Liverpool’ Mohamed Salah who comes in with the biggest price-tag, Bayern’ Jamal Musiala, and Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka.

Forwards

Three strikers come in at €10.5m ahead of the new campaign. This means that UCL Fantasy have not priced any players at €11m this season. One of those heavy hitters includes Manchester City penalty taker Erling Haaland. The Norwegian faces early matches against Napoli, Monaco, Villarreal, and Dortmund, so his potential could be mixed.

Harry Kane is another player priced at €10.5m. Spearheading the Bayern attack, Kane hit 11 goals and two assists in the previous Champions League campaign. With Chelsea, Pafos, Club Brugge, PSG, and Arsenal in his first five matches, UCL Fantasy managers have a tough decision to make.

Another player worth mentioning is Ousmane Dembele. The PSG attacker was converted from a midfielder to a forward ahead of this seasons competition. This could be extremely off-putting considering they have a very difficult start to the season. The fact he doesn’t take his sides penalties is also a major concern in comparison to other forward picks.
