In goal on Tuesday is Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Italian is arguably the best goalkeeper option on the first day, playing for a PSG side who limited Liverpool to just one goal during their two head-to-heads recently. If he fails to return then we could look to Inter’ Yann Sommer who plays for the best defence in the tournament at home to Bayern.
Defence opens up with a PSG double, making it a triple up at the back. This may seem super aggressive, but both Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes offer multiple routes to points. The former has amassed 15+ attacking returns this season, whilst the latter bagged a goal and an assist in Matchday 14.
At the back, we also doubled up with the Inter defence with Benjamin Pavard, one of the safest picks in terms of minutes for Inter. In the same game, Bayern centre-back Kim Min-Jae is his sides safest option for minutes, but he also has huge ball recovery potential. Completing the backline, and playing for one of England’ best defences is Arsenal’ William Saliba. The Frenchman can be a major threat from set-plays.

The most convincing attacks play on Tuesday, so stocking up on them could be hugely rewarding. One of those teams is Barcelona who face a poor Dortmund defence away from home this week. Their standout midfielders are Raphinha and Lamine Yamal. If they rotate, then UCL Fantasy managers could shift to those who start, likely Dani Olmo if fit, or Ferran Torres.
Another exciting midfield double up could belong to PSG. Ousmane Dembele has been their standout attacker this season, whilst new signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is another brilliant option. If any of them fail to start then Bradley Barcola is a great replacement.
