The new round of Premier League is ahead. With that in mind and with the help of Fantasy Football Scout, we have dug into the data and plucked out some of best player versus team stats to reveal the best head-to-head record players for Gameweek 24.

Taking a look back at the head-to-head data to find some of the best head-to-head record players for Gameweek 24 could be really helpful to managers. Picking out assets who have great records against their upcoming opponent can help with transfers, captaincy and even chip strategy.

Note: You can find all of the best players in each position for the round ahead based on current data in our FPL Top Picks for Gameweek 24 article.

Trent Alexander-Arnold v Burnley

Liverpool will be hoping to get back to winning ways this week after their recent loss to Arsenal in Gameweek 23. The Reds face one of the worst sides and defences in the league ahead so all of their assets could huge potential.

One player who could go big is Trent Alexander-Arnold (£8.5m). As we can see below, in the 18 matches Trent played against promoted sides between 2018-2021 he banked at least one return in a huge 13. He also managed a cool 33 points against them last season with the help of one goal, two assists and two clean sheets.

Diogo Jota v Burnley

Another Liverpool players set to benefit this week is Diogo Jota (£8m). In the four matches he played against promoted sides in 2021 he managed a return in three of them. One of his returns came in the form of a 14-point haul due to a goal and an assist.

Jota has been key for the Liverpool frontline recently. In fact, prior to the defeat against Arsenal Jota hit four consecutive returns. Again, one of those returns was a huge double-digit haul (19 points).

Bukayo Saka v West Ham

Arsenal will be hoping to add another win to their recent victory against Liverpool. The Gooners have been excellent for large parts of the season and backing their man man has been rewarding for FPL managers this season.

Bukayo Saka (£9m) played two matches against West Ham in 2021 and returned in both of them. He also managed to score against the Hammers last season. With eight goals and seven assists already the match ahead could be a great opportunity for Saka to add to that total.

Jarrod Bowen v Arsenal

Staying with the same match, we look to a West Ham attacker. West Ham seem to have entered a slump recently – failing to win in any of their last six matches in all competitions. However, they have one player in particular that can turn the tide of any match.

Below is a graphic of the best performing FPL assets when facing Arsenal last season. We can see that on that list is Jarrod Bowen (£8m). Bowen picked up a goal and an assist in the two matches he faced against the Gooners last season. He also managed to register an assist the last time the teams faced each other this season.

Bruno Fernandes v Aston Villa

Manchester United seem to be gathering some momentum recently. The Reds picked up two wins and netted a huge seven goals in their last two matches. They have a tough match against Aston Villa this week.

As we can see Bruno Fernandes (£8.2m) had a very good record against Aston Villa between 2019-2021. In that period Fernandes picked up a massive four double-digit hauls in four matches. His 48 points in those games came from five goals and one assist.
