Goalkeepers
The Double in Gameweek 37 isn’t great from a defensive perspective, which is why we should look to good shot stoppers and cheap enablers. Martin Dubravka (£4.2m) covers the latter but he also faces two promoted sides before Gameweek 37. Joining him is Guglielmo Vicario (£5.3m) who prior to Gameweek 37 has a double Gameweek. Vicario may play Manchester City but they also face Burnley.
Defenders
Although flagged with a minor injury, there is hope Malo Gusto (£4.2m) will be ready well before Gameweek 37. Gusto offers both clean sheet and assist potential this week. At his price and with a Double before his Gameweek 37 double, he could be a solid inclusion.
Another player flagged but holding huge attacking threat is Pedro Porro (£5.8m). Lining up one of the most attacking defenders in the league for his double could well be fantastic planning.
Returning from injury for Manchester City who have a lovely double in Gameweek 37 is Kyle Walker (£5.3m). There are question marks over gametime for the City backline but Walker is highly regarded as one of their most important defenders.
To reiterate, Double Gameweek 37 looks like a difficult one for clean sheets. With that in mind Diogo Dalot (£5.2m) could be the standout at the back for Manchester United. Dalot can have attacking threat and has shown this through his underlying metrics this season.
Newcastle and Chelsea won’t be easy, but another player with good attacking threat could be Lewis Dunk (£5.2m). Dunk can be extremely dangerous from set-plays but he is also the safest Brighton defender in terms of minutes.
Midfielders
Two Chelsea Double Gameweeks in the final period make them a priority in terms of investment. But, they also have arguably the easiest fixtures from an attacking perspective in Gameweek 37. Because of that and his form, Cole Palmer (£6.2m) should be in every Bench Boost team.
Manchester City also have a favourable pair of fixtures to attack. One of their standout assets is Phil Foden (£8.2m). Foden will no doubt be in every managers bench boost plan for Gameweek 37.
Two promoted sides and a Double Gameweek makes Newcastle investment essential. Every manager should be aiming to own Anthony Gordon (£6.1m) for Gameweek 37 with matches against Brighton and Manchester United.
Talking of Manchester United, they too have good fixtures from an attacking point of view. Their most in-form player and penalty taker is Bruno Fernandes (£8.3m). Originally Alejandro Garnacho was the standout but based on recent events Fernandes edges his teammate.
Completing the midfielder is Son Heung-Min (£9.7m). The Tottenham penalty taker plays a double prior to his double in Gameweek 37 but when he finally gets to the penultimate round he also faces a poor Burnley defence and a Manchester City side which suits his style of play.
Forwards
Many held their breath through Gameweek 35 but Nicolas Jackson (£6.8m) survived through it without picking up a yellow card which would have resulted in a ban. Excluding the fixture against Arsenal, Chelsea have impressed offensively and with the Gameweek 37 fixtures factored in Jackson could be a great addition.
A shoo-in for many will of course be Erling Haaland (£14.2m). The Norwegian is currently flagged but having a plan to get him into your Gameweek 37 bench boost team if fit will be vital.
Completing the Newcastle attacking duo is Alexander Isak (£7.8m). Isak is one of the most in-form players ahead of the double and takes his sides penalties.
