Last modified date

Playing the fixtures is a key thought process for FPL managers. Thinking about which teams have the best fixtures and how to target them can be key to success. To help FPL managers with their decisions we take a look at the teams with the best fixtures in Gameweek 36.

Fantasy Football Scout members have the opportunity to sort the Fixture Ticker by difficulty. This means that they are able to see how difficult the matches are over a range they have specified. Members are also able to sort the Fixture Ticker by defence and attack. You can sign up as a Fantasy Football Scout member here.

We have sorted the Fixture Ticker by difficulty and the four teams that sit top are Newcastle, Brighton, Crystal Palace and Chelsea. Newcastle and Brighton however, have the benefit of playing two fixtures this week.

Newcastle sit top of the fixture ticker for Gameweek 36. They have two fixtures. The first is away at Leeds and the second a home match against Brighton.

The reverse of both of these fixtures needed in 0-0 draws. However, these fixtures were in Gameweek 2 and Gameweek 18. At this point Newcastle were defensively solid however, perhaps not as prolific as they have been in more recent times in front of goal.

Callum Wilson is Newcastle’s most in form player averaging 6.6 points per match over the last three Premier League matches.

Second on the Fixture Ticker for Gameweek 36 are Brighton. Brighton have two away fixtures in Gameweek 36. They face Arsenal and then Newcastle. Two difficult fixtures against sides in the top four.

Brighton have had a mixed few weeks in the Premier League. Losing 3-1 and 1-5 respectively to Nottingham Forest and Everton, whilst beating Wolves and Man United. Solly March was also subbed with what seemed to be a hamstring injury having come on at half time against Everton in Gameweek 35.

Brighton lost the reverse of this fixture against Arsenal 2-4 back in Gameweek 18. They drew 0-0 with Newcastle in Gameweek 2. Alexis Mac Allister has second two in his last two matches heading in to Gameweek 36.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace sit third on the Fixture Ticker for Gameweek 36. They have a home fixture against Bournemouth. Since Gameweeek 29 Palace have won four, drawn one and lost two. A marked improvement in their form as prior to this they had lost five and drawn three.

The reverse of this fixture ended in a 0-2 victory to Palace in Gameweek 18. Eze and Ayew scored the goals with two assists for Olise.

Chelsea are fourth on the Fixture Ticker for Gameweek 36. They have a home fixture against a Nottingham Forest who have won two of their last three matches and in that time have scored eight goals.

Chelsea won their Gameweek 35 fixtures against Bournemouth. This was Chelsea’s first win since Gameweek 27 when they played Leicester.
