Best FPL Gameweek 35 Free Hit Team

Discover the best FPL Gameweek 35 Free Hit Team right here, as those activating it may need clarity on who to pick.

One of several chips provided by the game, the Free Hit is an extremely useful weapon. It’s an opportunity to select a squad for one Gameweek only, before returning to your original, regular team.

We take you through the fixtures to help pick out the best starting XI for the new round ahead. So let’s dive in.

Fixtures

Below is the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker for Gameweek 35.

Who has the best fixtures?

The immediate place to look is the opponents of Leicester, Southampton and Ipswich but two of this relegated trio play each other, while the Tractor Boys travel to Everton. Nothing particularly appealing. It’s actually a very difficult week to pick out some attractive fixtures, though Brentford and West Ham will be at home to sides distracted by Europa League semi-finals.

Who has the worst fixtures?

The ticker’s opposite end isn’t straightforward either. Chelsea are last but Liverpool have already been crowned champions and might loosen up with nothing to play for. Bournemouth’s trip to Arsenal is between Champions League semi-finals, while Wolves travel to Man City on the back of six successive wins.

Best Gameweek 35 Free Hit

Using the PlanFPL website and its fantastic tools, here is the best Gameweek 35 Free Hit team:

Goalkeepers

Brentford’s Mark Flekken is against a Man United side that hasn’t won in five league matches, scoring just twice. No stopper has made more saves than him (135) across Europe’s top five divisions.

Providing backup is Alphonse Areola. While West Ham haven’t won or kept a clean sheet since Gameweek 27, their hosting of rivals Spurs is sandwiched between huge meetings with Bodo/Glimt.

Defenders

While Josko Gvardiol has delivered three clean sheets in five league matches, owners will have been frustrated to see him score in Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final. But one of his five other strikes took place in October’s reverse Wolves meeting.

Everton duo Vitalii Mykolenko and Jake O’Brien have an enticing home clash versus Ipswich, with Nottingham Forest’s Neco Williams hoping to repeat Gameweek 8’s shutting out of Crystal Palace.

Defender number five was tough to choose but William Saliba is more about being part of a resolute backline rather than having an attractive fixture.

Midfielders

By his supreme standards, four matches without a goal looked bleak for Mohamed Salah. But Sunday brought a strike against Liverpool, giving him the confidence to chase individual records when visiting former club Chelsea next week.

Jarrod Bowen‘s two assists continue his under-the-radar trickle of attacking returns – expect more at home to Spurs.

Meanwhile, there are spots here for the top scorers of Gameweek 33 – Leandro Trossard and Bryan Mbeumo. The Belgian seems to be the big beneficiary of Mikel Arteta’s squad rotation, as he’s started the last four league outings, netting on four occasions.

As for Brentford’s Mbeumo, he racked up a huge score of 18 at home to Brighton, becoming this season’s second player to reach 200 points.

On the sidelines is Morgan Rogers, though he’s seemingly immune to ever being placed on Aston Villa’s bench. Out of both the FA Cup and Champions League, they now have just the ‘top five’ chase to concentrate on.

Forwards

To end their Brighton hoodoo, Newcastle need Alexander Isak back at his very best, after being slightly off in recent weeks.

Completing the Brentford triple-up is Yoane Wissa. The 28-year-old hasn’t yet played in Gameweek 34 but his previous two matches have both brought a goal. Over the whole season, he is joint-fifth for big chances (28).

Then there’s Omar Marmoush. Man City’s Egyptian forward let many down in Double Gameweek 33 – especially those who trusted him to be Triple Captain. Friday night’s clash against Wolves is a great chance to say sorry.
