Best FPL Gameweek 32 Free Hit Team

Discover the best FPL Gameweek 32 Free Hit Team right here! Those using it this week may need clarity on who to pick, and this is the right place.

One of several chips provided by the game, the Free Hit is an extremely useful weapon. It’s an opportunity to select a squad for one Gameweek only, before returning to your original, regular team.

We take you through the fixtures to help pick out the best starting XI for the new round ahead. So let’s dive in.

Fixtures

Below is the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker for Gameweek 32.

Who has the best fixtures?

The first place to look is Newcastle and Crystal Palace, who dominate current thoughts because of their Double Gameweek. Of the single sides, Aston Villa, Brighton and Chelsea face the bottom three, though Unai Emery’s lot are in between big matches against Paris Saint-Germain.

Who has the worst fixtures?

Although they rank last here, West Ham might feel encouraged by Liverpool’s recent form. And Brentford will visit Arsenal between Real Madrid legs. It looks tricky for Man United and Ipswich, away to Newcastle and Chelsea respectively.

Best Gameweek 32 Free Hit

Using the PlanFPL website and its fantastic tools, here is the best Gameweek 32 Free Hit team:

Goalkeepers

It’s very difficult to guess Emery’s rotation right now, with a trip to an already-relegated side sandwiched between two huge encounters. Villa’s last two league matches have had entirely different back fours. Therefore, picking both Emiliano Martinez (£5.0m) and Robin Olsen (£4.5m) should guarantee coverage of a likely clean sheet.

Defenders

Flying wing-back Daniel Munoz (£5.2m) scored Crystal Palace’s winner against Brighton – his third goal in nine matches (all competitions). He’s here for the attacking returns, rather than any expected shut-outs away to Man City and Newcastle.

Speaking of the Magpies, Fabian Schar (£5.4m) is the nailed-on starter with attacking tendencies. He’s netted twice this season, four times last year and was 2022/23’s defender with most attempts and shots on target.

With budget not really an issue in this Free Hit, Pervis Estupinan (£4.9m) is the best Brighton defender versus Leicester. He scored against Man City in Gameweek 29, and team-mate Lewis Dunk (£4.2m) is a handy bench back-up. Chelsea are on successive shut-outs, increasing the appeal of Marc Cucurella (£5.3m).

Midfielders

It’s strange to have doubler Eberechi Eze (£6.8m) on this bench but his quality of fixtures isn’t great.

We’re still keeping faith in Mohamed Salah (£13.8m) despite no goal or assist in his last four overall matches. Cole Palmer (£10.7m) has gone even longer without a strike – nine occasions – and didn’t start on Sunday, but he looked bright versus Spurs and is about to host Ipswich. That’s hard to ignore.

Elsewhere, Anthony Gordon (£7.4m) was last season’s best player for home attacking returns (22). He gets to feature twice at St James’ Park, rested after a suspension and the knock he picked up on international duty.

Again, Villa is a riddle. Morgan Rogers (£5.5m) usually finds a way to avoid rotation but perhaps it’s best to wait until the last minute when deciding between him, Marcus Rashford (£6.7m) and Marco Asensio (£6.2m).

Forwards

Newcastle are hoping for at least four points from hosting Man United and Palace, in their quest for Champions League football. The focal point of that, Alexander Isak (£9.5m), is the standout captaincy contender for Gameweek 32. Those still with Triple Captain are likely to pursue this route.

Alongside him, Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.7m) is also tough to resist, while Danny Welbeck (£5.5m) scored past the Eagles on Saturday. He started and Joao Pedro (£5.6m) didn’t, giving him the nod when facing Leicester.
