Best fixtures Gameweeks 1-5
The Premier League fixtures for the 2022/23 are now published. Ahead of the the new season we take a look at the teams with the best fixtures from Gameweek 1 to Gameweek 5.
When the FPL 2022/23 game launches FPL managers will begin looking for the players they want to invest in. Part of deciding who is best to own in the opening weeks of the season will be based on the opening fixtures of the season. We look at the top five teams to own for fixtures in the opening five Gameweeks.
Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker
The Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker allows members to sort the fixtures by difficulty. It also allows them to change the difficulty of fixtures, remove fixtures and look at a specific period of fixtures. As well as this it allows managers to look at the difficulty in terms of attack and defence. The Fixture Ticker for the 22/23 season has now been updated.
Top of the Fixture Ticker: Arsenal
Arsenal have the best start to the Premier League season. They face Palace, Leicester, Bournemouth, Fulham and Villa in the opening five Gameweeks. This will make the likes of Aaron Ramsdale, Bukayo Saka and, if he signs for the club as rumoured, Gabriel Jesus popular FPL picks.
Second in the Fixture Ticker: Liverpool
Liverpool are second in the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker. They face Fulham, Palace, Man United, Bournemouth and Newcastle in the opening matches of the Premier League season. Liverpool assets are always popular in FPL with Mo Salah the most heavily owned played in FPL in the 2022/23 season. Their opening five Gameweeks will make the likes of Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold big targets for FPL managers when the game launches.
Third in the Fixture Ticker: Man City
Man City have a promising set of fixtures to start the season. In the opening five Gameweeks they play West Ham, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Palace and Nottingham Forest. Therefor new signing Haaland will likely be a popular FPL pick when the game is live. The forward, alongside Kevin de Bruyne and Joao Cancelo look set to be ket FPL targets.
Fourth in the Fixture Ticker: Wolves
FPL managers will be pleased to see Wolves so high on the Fixture Ticker. Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal assets will all likely be significant investments for FPL managers, however they will be hoping for value from Wolves. Last season Wolves assets gave FPL managers some great budget options in the likes of Rayan Ait-Nouri, Conor Coady and Jose Sa. With a good set of fixtures to start the season they could be popular picks again in 2022/23.
Fifth in the Fixture Ticker: Everton
Having just survived relegation in 21/22 Everton are fifth in the fixture ticker for the start of the 22/23 campaign. Everton have some great assets who, in previous FPL seasons have returned great points. If Richarlison stays on Merseyside he will likely be a popular pick for the opening five Gameweeks. The likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and last seasons budget enabler Anthony Gordon will also likely be attractive picks. Everton face Chelsea on the opening day, with manager Frank Lampard returning to Stamford Bridge. The Toffee’s face Chelsea, Villa, Forest, Brentford and Leeds in the opening five Gameweeks.
