Best Fantasy EFL Players for Gameweek 39

It’s the final round of the season, so if you’re looking for one last push up the rankings then this is the place to be. To do this we bring in expert @FPLEdgeworth who shares his Best Fantasy EFL Players for Gameweek 39.
Without any more fluff, let’s dive straight into it!
Goalkeepers
Jake Eastwood – Grimsby Town

Kicking off the final week, Eastwood is a top pick. He’s scored 14 points in two starts and now faces AFC Wimbledon, who haven’t scored in over 350 league minutes. This is a virtual play-off quarter-final, and Wimbledon haven’t won at Blundell Park in nearly 30 years.
Ryan Boot – Chesterfield

Boot is the other standout keeper, with two clean sheets in his last four. Chesterfield face Accrington, who are now safe and have nothing to play for. With playoffs on the line, Boot is likely to add another clean sheet.
Defenders
Macaulay Gillesphey – Charlton Athletic

Gillesphey is the game’s top-scoring defender, with 48 points in his last five – nearly 10 per game. Charlton play Burton, who just avoided relegation and have no stakes left. Charlton, chasing playoff seeding, should come out on top.
Ellis Iandolo – Colchester United

Iandolo has 44 points in his last five – just under nine per game. Colchester play Barrow, who are safe. Colchester still have a playoff chance and must win, so a clean sheet is likely.

Midfielders
Lewis Wing – Reading

Wing is chasing playoffs. If Reading win and Leyton Orient drop points, they’re in. He’s in red-hot form with 50 points in his last five. Against a Barnsley side with nothing to play for, he’s a top midfield pick.
Josh Brownhill – Burnley

Brownhill could help Burnley win the Championship. They must better Leeds’ result. Despite facing a motivated Millwall, Burnley are at home and Brownhill has 46 points in five games. He’s in title-winning form.
Forward
Joel Piroe – Leeds United

Piroe could be the difference-maker in the title race. He has four goals and one assist in his last two. Leeds play Plymouth, who are already relegated. Expect goals, and Piroe should be involved.
Jayden Stockley – Port Vale

Stockley has contributed in three straight games. Vale face Gillingham, who are playing for pride. With a potential title on the line, Stockley should deliver in front of home fans.
Teams to Target
Chesterfield
They travel to Accrington, who are now safe after a tough season. Chesterfield still need a win and should get it, with bonus points up for grabs.
Grimsby Town
Grimsby host Wimbledon, who haven’t scored in 350 minutes and have just one win in eight. They haven’t won at Blundell Park in almost 30 years. Grimsby need the win—and should get it.
