Best Fantasy EFL Players for Gameweek 36

Not sure who to pick this week? Lots of managers share the same concerns week in week out. Don’t worry though! This week we have brought in @FPLEdgeworth to share his best Fantasy EFL players for Gameweek 36.

Goalkeepers

James Trafford – Burnley

Best Fantasy EFL Players for Gameweek 36

Top of the goalkeeper picks is Burnley’s Trafford, the highest scorer in his position. He’s kept 28 clean sheets in 40 games, including three in his last five. This week he faces mid-table Norwich, who have little to play for, making a Burnley clean sheet likely with more on the line for them.

Anthony Patterson – Sunderland

Patterson has just 14 clean sheets in 37 games, but he’s in strong form with three in a row. Up next is Swansea, currently 15th, another side with little at stake – similar to Sunderland’s recent opponents – so another clean sheet is definitely on the cards.

Defenders

Curtis Tilt – Salford City

Best Fantasy EFL Players for Gameweek 36

Tilt is one of this week’s double gameweek players. He’s scored 32 points in his last five games, averaging over six per match – with only one clean sheet. With two games, even tough ones vs. Notts County and Doncaster, he should outscore most single gameweek players.

Tom Anderson – Doncaster Rovers

Another double gameweek option, Anderson has 33 points over his last five. With arguably easier fixtures against Wimbledon and Salford, and Doncaster pushing for automatic promotion, he’s a solid pick and likely to return well again.

Midfielders

Luke Molyneux – Doncaster Rovers

Best Fantasy EFL Players for Gameweek 36

Molyneux is known for inconsistency, but he’s been rock solid lately – scoring 6+ points in each of his last seven games. With a double gameweek and that kind of form, he’s arguably the top midfield pick and could be the week’s highest scorer.

Ossama Ashley – Salford City

Ashley has 18 points in three games since returning from injury, mainly through interceptions. Salford’s tough double – Notts County and Doncaster – could work in his favour defensively, making him a strong under-the-radar midfield pick.

Forwards

Charlie Kelman – Leyton Orient

Best Fantasy EFL Players for Gameweek 36

Kelman defines consistency: six goals and one assist in his last six games, blanking only once. He faces Crawley this week, a team on the brink of relegation, making another return very likely – even with just one game.

Hadji Wright – Coventry City

Wright’s a risky one-game pick due to rotation, but he’s hot right now – scoring four in his last four home games, including a hat-trick. He faces Portsmouth at home, so if he starts, he could explode. Just be sure to check the line-ups.

Teams to Target

Doncaster Rovers

Doncaster are one of only two teams with a double gameweek. Picking their players gives you two shots at points, and with promotion still in sight, they’ll be pushing hard in both games.

Salford City

Salford are the other double gameweek side and face Doncaster and Notts County. While the fixtures are tough, the chance for double returns makes them worth backing – especially with the unpredictability of the EFL.
