Best differentials for Gameweek 5

The Premier League season continues which means the fantasy season does too. With that in mind, we provide the best differentials for Gameweek 5 with the help of the Fantasy Football Scout fixture ticker and underlying stats.

Looking at the best differentials for Gameweek 5 can be really useful for fantasy managers. Differentials are lowly owned players (less than 10% owned) that can help towards gaining rank and an edge over your competition.

Fixtures

Below we can see that the ticker orders teams in fixture difficulty order – the teams at the top have the easiest fixtures and the teams at the bottom have the toughest.

Taiwo Awoniyi – 4.8%

Nottingham Forest have started their new campaign really well – beating Chelsea and Sheffield United and showing fight against both Arsenal and Manchester United. During that spell they also scored in each and every game which shows strength in front of goal.

Burnley come up next. The newly promoted side have lost all of their first three matches and conceded a huge 11 goals. One player who could take advantage of their poor run is Taiwo Awoniyi (£6.6m). The striker has been brilliant so far – he has picked up returns against Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United and is yet to blank in any of his matches.

Gabriel Jesus – 2.3%

Arsenal were the second biggest scorers for goals and goals in the box last season. That same scoring form seems to have translated into the new campaign. Already the ‘Gooners” have won three of their first four matches whilst also racking up eight goals.

Everton lay ahead for Arsenal next and its been a troubling start to the new campaign for them. In the four matches they have played the ‘Tofees’ have picked up just one point, reflecting some poor form. There are plenty of options to target the Everton defence but the return of Gabriel Jesus from injury (£7.9m) was highlighted with a goal in his 18-minute feature against Manchester United. Gabriel Jesus is back and it could be a great time to bring him in before curve.

Dejan Kulusevski – 1.5%

Tottenham have been fantastic so far this season. In the four matches they have played they won three and drew once. In that same period they also notched up a huge 11 goals averaging nearly three goals scored per game.

Sheffield United are up next for Spurs who have lost three of their first four matches. In terms of defensive data they rank second worst for shots in the box conceded (56), the worst for total attempts conceded (86) and joint second worst for shots on target (27).

Whilst many flock to the likes of Son Heung-min and James Maddison some could consider Dejan Kulusevski (£7m). Not only did the Swedish international bag a goal in Gameweek 3 but he also managed a goal and an assist for his national side during the break which could be a sign of a turn in form.

Dominik Szoboszlai – 4.5%

Liverpool seem to have started the season really well after securing wins against the likes of Aston Villa and Newcastle. The Reds have also been in fine scoring form too – bagging nine goals in their first four matches.

Wolves lay ahead for Liverpool next and things haven’t been as defensively sound as they would have liked. In fact, amongst all teams in the division Wolves rank joint second worst for shots on target conceded (27) and joint second worst for big chances conceded (15). One player who could have potential is Dominik Szoboszlai (£7m). The set-piece taker picked up a 10-point return in his most recent match and with Wolves up next he has a good chance to extend that form.
