Best differentials for Gameweek 36

We take a look at some of the best differentials for FPL Gameweek 36. With the help of the Fantasy Football Scout members area, we can use its underlying stats and fixture difficulty rating system to help us pick out some of the best players with low ownership for the round ahead.

Looking at the best differentials for FPL Gameweek 36 can be very beneficial to FPL managers in their quest to reaching their goals. Differentials are also vital to those that are looking to get ahead of their competition or gain rank.

Fixtures

Joelinton

Newcastle rank top of the fixture ticker this week with a double Gameweek against Brighton and Leeds. The latter have been in awful defensive form, failing to keep a clean sheet in any of their last six Gameweeks and conceding a whopping 20 goals in the same period.

Whilst many fantasy managers will look to back the strikers, some looking to go different could select Joelinton (£6m). The midfielder has had moments playing in advanced role as of late. Joelinton has also netted four times in his last seven matches, helping him towards two double-digit hauls in the same period.

Danny Welbeck

Brighton also have a double Gameweek ahead and whilst it isn’t as appealing as Newcastle’s, managers still have two attempts at a return. Whilst most flock to midfielder Alexis Mac Allister (£5.5m) in their attempt to replace the injured Solly March (£5.3m), some could target Danny Welbeck (£6.5m).

There is no telling how many minutes the Brighton attackers will get in the games ahead, so making a move for Welbeck could be a good move. In the last six Gameweeks he ranks second amongst all of his offensive teammates for non-penalty expected goal involvement (2.84). Welbeck also picked up a huge 15-point haul in one of his most recent games.

Wilfried Zaha

Since Roy Hodgson took over as Crystal Palace manager there have been significant improvements. They have won five of their seven matches under the new boss and with a game against one of the worst defences in the league up next, Bournemouth, they could easily extend that.

To highlight the Cherries poor defence, this season they rank the worst in the league for shots on target conceded (188) and second worst for shots in the box conceded (372). One player who could have great week is Wilfried Zaha (£7.2m). Since his return from injury the winger has accumulated a better non-penalty expected goal involvement (0.64) than any other of his offensive teammates.

Noni Madueke

Chelsea have been in a torrid run of form. However, things could be on the up after they secured their first win in 10 games in all competitions last week. The Blues face a struggling Nottingham Forest next up. In the last six Gameweeks the promoted side rank the worst for big chances conceded (23).

Not only are Nottingham Forest conceding some concerning defensive stats but their also conceding plenty of goals. In fact, the relegation battlers have conceded two or more goals in five of their last six games. One player who could take advantage of that is Noni Madueke (£5.4m). The Chelsea youngster has been instrumental for his team lately. He also scored against title challengers Arsenal recently, claiming a cool eight points.
