Best differentials for Double Gameweek 20

Our weekly look at interesting differentials – the FPL players with low ownership but the potential to be a superb pick.

We’ve all seen the template teams and have figured out which elite assets we’re going to jump on this season.

Whether you’re on the Kane train or the Haaland bus (or both), you’ll need some handy differentials to ensure you’re always one step ahead of mini-league rivals and can climb up the world rankings!

RIYAD MAHREZ

Four goals and two assists have arrived in Mahrez’s five post-World Cup outings, meaning it’s his turn to be Pep Guardiola’s favourite.

BRUNO FERNANDES

Meanwhile, Manchester United also play twice during Gameweek 20 and are in great form under Erik ten Hag. Naturally, eyes are on Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw but those with spare cash may want a Bruno Fernandes punt.

The perfect differentials are those who are low-owned yet have proven their FPL quality time and time again. Fernandes is in just 3.5 per cent of squads but brought 26 goals and 22 assists in his first season-and-a-half.

After facing an unconvincing Man City, he goes to Crystal Palace. The hosts have lost their last two home matches 3-0 and 4-0.

BRYAN MBEUMO

Although Thomas Frank has confirmed that Ivan Toney will return to Brentford’s starting XI on Saturday, the appeal of Bryan Mbeumo should not be ignored.

For £1.5m less, he starts most games and bagged 12 points during the 3-1 win over Liverpool. Not only does he enable money being spent elsewhere, the Bees are about to go against Bournemouth (H), Leeds (a) and Southampton (H).
