Best differentials for Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 3
The new season of German football continues which means the Fantasy game does too. Because of this we take a look at the best differentials for Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 3 with the help of our expert manager and contributor @FPLPlatinum.
Looking at the best differentials for Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 3 can be extremely beneficial for managers. Differentials are lowly owned players that if successful can help you gain rank and an edge over you mini-league rivals.
GK – Lukáš Hrádecký – 9.3m on sale from 10.3m, 4% owned, Darmstadt 98 (H)
Hrádrecký has already had an impressive start to the season, picking up 16 points from two games and nine in his last match. Leverkusen have an incredibly favourable fixture vs Darmstadt 98, and the home fixture boosts the potential for a clean sheet.
The goalkeeper is also on sale, meaning he is a good pick for your TV and your potential for points. The bookies favour a clean sheet for Leverkusen and while Hrádreký may not be amongst the save points, he’s still an excellent differential for MD3!
DEF – Alejandro Grimaldo – 10.1m, 6% owned, Darmstadt 98 (H)
Keeping with the Leverkusen theme, the top differential for this MD is none other than UCL Fantasy favourite Alejandro Grimaldo! The former Benfica player impressed on the left for Alonso’s side last match, picking up 14 points and getting an attacking return.
Frimpong is nearly an essential asset, but adding Grimaldo is an excellent idea and it’s ideal to strike while the iron is hot and capitalise on that low ownership. Managers should really consider Grimaldo for their teams in MD3 and could be a top pick going forward.
MID – Mattias Svanberg – 8.6m on sale from 9.6m, 6% owned, Hoffenheim (A)
Svanberg could be the ideal mid priced midfielder for the coming MD. He picked up nine points in his last game and 15 in the first MD. He has also been put on a sale for this MD. Svanberg doesn’t have the most favourable of fixtures as Hoffenheim will be looking to make use of the home advantage. However the Swede has been in fine form this season for Niki Kovač’s side, and he’s backed to be among the goals next MD. Hoffenheim are slight favourites to win vs Hoffenheim, however Svanberg’s price and form is enough for him to be a viable asset this MD.
FWD – Niclas Füllkrug – 14.1m, 9% owned, Mainz 05 (H)
This is a name you probably wouldn’t have expected to see here a few months ago. The top scoring striker of the 22/23 season isn’t owned by 91% of the game. This is because of his price-tag. However, with Kolo Muani likely departing Frankfurt for PSG, that opens up a new forward slot.
The German international has yet to see himself or even his club score this season. That’s all the motivation for Werder Bremen to capitalise on their home turf. They look to get their campaign started with the most favourable fixture of their season so far. He’s certainly a risk, but with massive potential to pay off. Füllkrug will also be aiming to book a spot in the national team soon, which is all the motivation for him to score!
