Best differential XI for Gameweek 11

In this weekly series, Will from Fantasy Football 92 explores the low ownership differential options that could be the hidden gems to help you climb up those world rankings. He is his best differential XI for Gameweek 11.

We’ve all seen the template XI and figured out which elite assets to jump onto for this season. Whether on the Salah train, the Haaland bus or both, FPL managers need some unique names to ensure they’re always one step ahead of your mini-league rivals.

Here are the differential options we like the look of for Gameweek 11.

GOALKEEPER

Bernd Leno – Fulham – 1.6% TSB

We continue to chase these differential clean sheets and it’s Bernd Leno (£4.5m) who is given the gloves this week. His Fulham side has shipped too many goals but should have Kenny Tete (£4.5m) back in the line-up. They will fancy their chances of getting back to winning ways when hosting Bournemouth.

DEFENDERS

Rayan Ait-Nouri – Wolves – 1.1% TSB

Ryan Sessegnon – Tottenham – 1.1% TSB

Pervis Estupinan – Brighton – 0.5% TSB

At the back, Rayan Ait-Nouri (£4.3m) was a bit of a pre-season favourite amongst FPL managers but a poor start has seen interest tail off. Wolves host struggling Nottingham Forest up next though and RAN will see it as a good chance to get amongst the attacking play.

We tipped Ryan Sessegnon (£4.5m) last week and he delivered with a clean sheet. It would’ve been an assist too, had opposite full-back Matt Doherty (£4.6m) been more clinical.

And it’s another left wing-back in Brighton’s Pervis Estupinan (£4.5m) who completes the trio. Games against Liverpool and Tottenham represented a tough start for new boss Roberto De Zerbi but the signs are good, with Brentford and Nottingham Forest as their next two. Estupinan will look to get involved in attacking play wherever possible.

MIDFIELDERS

Lucas Paqueta – West Ham – 1.3% TSB

Eberechi Eze – Crystal Palace – 2.3% TSB

Mason Mount – Chelsea – 3.8% TSB

Granit Xhaka – Arsenal – 3.5% TSB

Philip Billing – Bournemouth – 0.7% TSB

Lucas Paqueta (£6.0m) is starting to show that Brazilian brilliance in a West Ham shirt after following up his viral mastery of the football in the Conference League with a Premier League assist. The Hammers face Southampton this week who, quite frankly, are awful.

We’ve spoken a lot about Eberechi Eze (£5.5m) and Mason Mount (£7.6m) here in recent weeks and they delivered a big Gameweek 10, with a goal and two assists respectively. Both have enticing Gameweek 11 fixtures and their ownership percentages should gradually increase, especially bargain Eze.

Slightly less fashionable are Granit Xhaka (£5.1m) and Philip Billing (£5.3m), two midfielders who have added goals to their games in recent weeks. Xhaka has a new lease of life in this fresh-looking Arsenal team and he’ll be looking for his sixth goal contribution of the season.

Billing, meanwhile, has three goals from his last four outings and travels to Fulham this week in a battle between two promoted sides that have overachieved at times this season.

FORWARDS

Dominic Solanke – Bournemouth – 1.7% TSB

Danny Welbeck – Brighton – 1.5% TSB

Staying with Bournemouth, it’s Dominic Solanke (£5.7m) who leads the line with Brighton’s Danny Welbeck (£6.5m) in our low ownership 11.

Solanke tore the second tier apart last season but his only strike this season came against Forest, another newly-promoted team. He’ll be hoping to repeat the trick against 2022 Championship winners Fulham.

Welbeck is another whose overall performance hasn’t been matched by his goal-scoring output. It feels like it’s coming though and his next two games are against the leaky defences of Brentford (conceding ten goals in their last four) and Forest.
