Best Captains for UCL Fantasy Matchday 4 (2025/26) | Top Captain Picks

Choosing the between best captains for UCL Fantasy Matchday 4 is one of the most important calls of the week. With the season underway, strong captaincy picks can give you the perfect start and set the tone for your campaign.

In this article, we’ll run through the standout options for Matchday 4, from the reliable favourites to the riskier differentials that could give you an edge.

Arsenal sit top of the Premier League table, and head into Matchday 4 off the back of winning their previous eight matches in all competitions.

The Gunners are in excellent form and that is evident. However, they also play in the early kick-off on Tuesday, which means we can check the line-ups, and make our moves ahead of the deadline.

We also have to factor in their opposition, Slavia Praha. The Czechian side have failed to convince from a defensive perspective this campaign – conceding two goals to Bodo/Glimt and three goals to Inter in their opening two matches.

The above makes Arsenal attackers extremely appealing captaincy options this week, especially the likes of midfielder Bukayo Saka (€9.5m) and forward Viktor Gyokeres (€9m). While neither have been consistent this season, both have shown explosive glimpses of quality.

Other Great Options

While Arsenal have form, fixture and an early kick-off backing them, that doesn’t mean UCL Fantasy managers can’t look elsewhere with the armband. There are plenty of great alternatives on Tuesday to pick from.

One of those players is of course Kylian Mbappe (€10.7m). The Real Madrid forward faces a leaky Liverpool side who have kept just one clean sheet this season in the Premier League. He also goes into the game in excellent form – having managed 19 goals and four assists already for club and country.

USG’ Matchday 1 win against PSV was impressive, but they then went onto lose 4-0 to both Newcastle and Inter in the rounds following that. Defensive displays suggests that targeting their defence could be hugely rewarding. To do that we could count on penalty taker Julian Alvarez (€9m). The Argentine displayed his potential in a previous game against Frankfurt – racking up 15 points for his two assists, goal and player of the match award.

No side in the Champions League has conceded more goals than Ajax so far. The Dutch side shipped a huge 11 goals during the first three rounds, which paints a huge target on their back from an attacking perspective.

Since their capitulation in Matchday 1 against Frankfurt, Galatasaray have beaten Liverpool and Bodo/Glimt, showing signs of improvements. They are also extremely comfortable in the Trendyol Super League – five points clear of second place Trabzonspor and averaging a huge 2.5 goals scored per game.

Helping their form is penalty taker Victor Osmihen (€7.5m). The Nigerian striker is having another wonderful season for both club and country – having managed nine goals and one assist in just 12 matches.

Osimhen is a constant threat for Galatasaray and an extremely explosive fantasy asset. As well as producing a brace and player of the match award in Matchday 3, he also amassed a huge 2.68 XG (expected goals), so he could have ended the game with even more attacking returns.

Other Great Options

Whilst on paper, not many players can compete with Osmihen’ form, fixture and penalty taking duty, there are several options we can’t disregard.

Barcelona put in another convincing Champions League display in Matchday 3 – crushing Greek side Olympiakos 6-1. This was just another showing of how good the Catalans are offensively.

While Robert Lewandowski’ return from injury is likely to mean no more penalty duty, it doesn’t significantly dampen midfielder Lamine Yamal‘ (€9.9m) appeal. The youngster has produced a goal or an assist in 10 of his previous 12 matches, and he takes that form into his clash with Club Brugge.

UCL Fantasy managers should also consider Erling Haaland (€10.6m). Manchester City host Dortmund this week, the Norwegian’ former side, and with 14 goals across his Champions League and Premier League campaigns already, don’t be surprised to see him succeed.
