Best Bundesliga Fantasy Players for Matchday 27

As Bundesliga Fantasy managers gear up for Matchday 27, choosing the right players can make all the difference in climbing the ranks. In this guide to the best Bundesliga Fantasy players for Matchday 27, our expert @Big4FPL shares some of the best picks in each outfield position.
Introduction
We’re back after the last international break of the season and that means the last unlimited transfer window! This is a week to really target the fixtures and not focus too much long term, given the five transfers we get.
Opening up the round we have Leverkusen vs Bochum which is a nice fixture for team news. Going into this week, I took a bit of a hit last MD and fell to 29th, but it’s tight enough at the top for me to still aim to get back into the top 10. With that being said, here are some of my top picks for this week:
Defenders
Jeremie Frimpong – 18m

With Wirtz still out, Leverkusen will be looking to their other prime creators and (despite his hefty price) Frimpong could certainly be that. Although he hasn’t really justified his price in the new Bundesliga scoring system, if he finds his goal contribution form then the system is irrelevant.
Mitchell Weiser – 13m

Weiser has probably been one of the trolls of the season, combining hauls with blanks and also suspensions in prime fixtures for good measure. That being said, he’s back from suspension this week and plays a Kiel side that is still struggling. So, I’m willing to ride the Weiser rollercoaster for another week, he’s even a star candidate if you’re willing to take that risk.
Anthony Caci – 10m

Maybe more of a longer term pick given the unlimited transfer window, but Caci delivered two assists last game and vs a Dortmund team that are unpredictable, I don’t see why he can’t continue the same form. Mainz also have a great run of upcoming fixtures to get on Caci now rather than later.
Not sure who to buy in the new round of Serie A Fantasy? Well don’t panic! We picked out the Top Picks in each position.
Midfielders
Joshua Kimmich – 15m

Following a stellar showing for Germany over the international break and a new Bayern contract, Kimmich should continue this form going back into the league. You know you’ll get 180 points from Kimmich as a minimum but I’m hoping he can continue his goal contribution form.
Jens Stage – 9m

Following my defender picks being relatively pricey, I’m backing a more mid-priced midfielder to deliver. Stage has really chipped in with his goalscoring this year in what has been a pretty terrible year for Werder in general. A match against Kiel gives him another shot at returning a strong fantasy performance.
Paul Nebel – 6m

One of the bargain heroes of the season, it’s maybe not the best match for Nebel vs Dortmund, but even if he doesn’t get any returns he has had a knack for hitting 150+ points which is all you ask from a 6m budget enabler.
Forwards
Patrik Schick – 14m

With Wirtz out injured, there should be little doubt that Schick gets the nod upfront and despite plenty of bench appearances he still averages over 140 points a match. We will get the line-ups for this match and therefore if he starts he’s a very solid pick this week.
Hugo Ekitike – 12m

A relatively obvious pick, but still someone who hasn’t hit the ownership heights you would expect following Marmoush leaving. He hit a hattrick vs the England U21’s over the break and with Frankfurt still needing to fully make sure of top four, I expect him to keep delivering.
Phil Harres – 3m

He’s been our budget enabler most of the season, until a surprise illness followed by a benching, but I am backing Harres to come good for us again in what is a must win/must not lose game if Kiel have any hopes of staying up this season.
