Best Budget Players for Gameweek 31

Fantasy managers have a full set of fixtures this week and to help navigate them we take a look at the best budget players for Gameweek 31 in FPL with the help of underlying data and the fixture ticker from Fantasy Football Scout.

Checking out the best budget players for Gameweek 31 can be hugely rewarding for FPL managers. Not only can it help long-term but finding the right ones with huge potential can contribute towards making gains in terms of rank and mini-league position.

The Liverpool Defence

Clean sheets have been extremely difficult to come by for FPL managers this season. However, one of two teams the community are looking to for them is Liverpool. The Reds in fact rank as the second best side in the division for both total goals conceded and clean sheets kept.

Sheffield United lay ahead next for Liverpool which signals a fantastic opportunity to add to their clean sheet tally. The promoted side have struggled all season offensively – ranking as the worst side in the league for goals scored, total attempts on goal, total shots in the box and total shots on target.

The injury to Alisson has made room for Caoimhin Kelleher (£3.8m) to fill in between the sticks. Another brilliant option at the back is Conor Bradley (£4.2m). As well as clean sheet potential Bradley has scored one goal and created four assists in just six matches played this season.

Wolves

Another team offering several cheap options with potential this week is Wolves. Manager Gary O’Neil has got his side in a nice rhythm recently – losing just four of their last 10 matches whilst also scoring 2-4 goals in five of the same games.

Wolves take their increasing confidence into a match against promoted side Burnley next. Although they have picked up five points from a possible nine in the last two, they still rank as one of the worst defensive and offensive sides in the league.

Taking all of the above into account, we could look the Wolves defence, specifically Rayan Ait Nouri (£4.6m). The Algerian full-back has been impressive from an attacking perspective and produced two goals and one assist in his last three league games.

Wolves also have some great attacking options worth considering, starting with Pablo Sarabia who comes in at an eye watering £4.7m. As well as being favourite for penalty duty, the former PSG midfielder has also collected two returns in his last five matches. Striker Matheus Cunha (£5.5m) could also be a very good option. Prior to his injury against Brentford, Cunha banked a massive 39 points in a five-match period.

Jakub Kiwior

There are a lot of different cheap defender options available this week and we head to Arsenal for another one of them.

Arsenal continue to impress defensively as they remain the best in the league for both clean sheets kept and goals conceded. Because of this the Gooners have become the best team to invest in from a defensive point of view.

Whilst many opt for centre-backs William Saliba and Gabriel, Jakub Kiwior (£4.4m) could be a great alternative. The Polish full-back has started the last five matches for Arsenal and within that period he bagged five returns. Those returns consisted of three clean sheets, two assists and a goal, which also highlights his attacking ability as well as clean sheet potential.

Luton lay ahead for Arsenal, a promoted side who have failed to win any of their last eight whilst also conceding in every game during that period. A meeting with the Hatters could be a great opportunity for Kiwior to extend his recent form.
