Best Budget Players for Gameweek 30
Fantasy managers have a full set of fixtures this week after the huge Blank Gameweek in 29. To help navigate that we take a look at the best budget players for Gameweek 30 in FPL with the help of underlying data and the fixture ticker from Fantasy Football Scout.
Checking out the best budget players for Gameweek 30 can be hugely rewarding for FPL managers. Not only can it help long-term but finding the right ones with huge potential can contribute towards making gains in terms of rank and mini-league position.
Fulham
Fulham could be one of the best teams to invest in this week. The Cottagers have been brilliant recently, dispatching the likes of Tottenham, Brighton and Manchester United in their last four league matches. During that same period they also managed two clean sheets and nine goals, showing promise at both ends of the pitch.
Most of the Fulham appeal this week comes from the fact they face Sheffield United next up. Sitting rock bottom of the Premier League, the Blades have been woeful for the entire campaign. In fact, not only have they scored the least amount of goals but they have also shipped the most.
Defensively, the pick of the bunch could be Antonee Robinson (£4.6m). The American has been their best defender in terms of attacking threat this season, creating six assists in the league so far. Another good option is of course goalkeeper Bernd Leno (£4.8m) who sits joint top for FPL points in his position.
In attack, it is clear where FPL managers could go. Striker Rodrigo Muniz (£4.6m) continues to solidify his position, spearheading the Fulham frontline. When it comes to his output Muniz has racked up an impressive six goals and one assist in his last six games.
The Chelsea Defence
Chelsea are another side drawing plenty of interest from the community. As well as having a favourable schedule ahead with two Double Gameweeks they have an appetising match against newly promoted Burnley next up.
Similar to Sheffield, Burnley have also struggled to settle into Premier League life since being promoted. Vincent Kompany’ men rank as one of worst in the league both offensively and defensively this season, highlighting them as a team to target.
Other than the brilliant Cole Palmer there is a lack of attacking budget options at Chelsea. That may be the case but defensively, the Blues offer plenty of enablers for the match ahead and schedule beyond. One of those options is man between the sticks Dorde Petrovic (£4.5m). Petrovic has played the last 11 league matches and seems to be cementing his first team position ahead of Robert Sanchez.
The standout Chelsea defender is Malo Gusto who comes in at a jaw-dropping £4.2m. Gusto has arguably been one of his sides best players this season. With four assists in his last eight matches in all competitions, the Frenchman also has strong attacking threat so goes into any given match with multiple routes to points.
Alejandro Garnacho
Manchester United have largely impressed recently. Although they lost against Manchester City and Fulham they also beat Everton, Luton, Aston Villa, West Ham and Wolves in the matches around surrounding them.
In the same seven-match period mentioned above Manchester United also netted 15 times, which suggests that they are fully capable of scoring goals.
Manchester United come up against Brentford next, a side whom in the last six matches rank in the worst three teams for goals conceded, total shots in the box conceded, total shots on target conceded and total big chances conceded.
With the above in mind and the return of star striker Rasmus Hojlund, we could look to Alejandro Garnacho (£4.9m). The Spaniard has become a reliable member of the frontline this season and more recently, in the last six matches has also collected five returns. At his price, with Brentford next and in his current form, Garnacho cements his position amongst the best budget players for Gameweek 30.
