Fixtures
Below we can see the ticker in order of fixture difficulty. The teams at the top have the easiest fixtures and the teams at the bottom have the toughest fixtures.
Levi Colwill
Chelsea sit highly on the Fantasy Football Scout fixture ticker this week which indicates they have an easier fixture. The Blues have been inconsistent but have still managed to claim the joint most clean sheets in the league this season (three).
The clean sheets are there and the Chelsea underlying defensive data has been reinforcing their potential for several weeks. Amongst all teams they rank joint third best for big chances conceded (nine) and fourth best for expected goals conceded (7.46).
Chelsea look good defensively both from a clean sheet and underlying statistics point of view. They face Burnley next. The newly promoted side rank as one of the worst sides in the league so far for attacking data so the clean sheet could be on for Chelsea. One way to benefit from that would be to bring in Levi Colwill (£4.5m). The centre-back comes in at a great price and is also nailed into the starting 11. Colwill also scored in his most recent match which indicates he has attacking threat.
Cole Palmer
Staying with Chelsea we head into their frontline. The Blues were very busy in the summer and their bulky squad has resulted in some nicely priced options now getting gametime. Although Chelsea started the season poorly they won both of their last two matches in all competitions against Brighton and Fulham.
Chelsea have shown that they can punish weaker defences and they face another one ahead in the form of Burnley. Burnley may have won their most recent match against Luton but their start to the season has been torrid defensively. In fact, they are currently averaging 2+ goals conceded per game.
Taking the above into account then Cole Palmer (£4.9m) could be an effective enabler this week. Palmer impressed that much in his Cup match against Brighton it earned him a start against Fulham. He registered an assist in each of the last two matches and has the opponent to extend that in Gameweek 8.
Pedro Neto
Wolves seem to have turned a corner this season. In their 22/23 campaign they were the joint lowest scorers in the league but this season they have already netted more than nine teams. Offensively Wolves are no doubt better this time around which makes their assets much more appealing.
Aston Villa are up next for Wolves. Its been a very impressive start to the season for them but they are still conceding goals and a lot of big chances. In fact, in terms of the latter, amongst all teams they rank joint second worst with 24.
Wolves have potential against Aston Villa from an attacking perspective and one player in particular could do really well. Pedro Neto (£5.6m) has started the season in top form. The budget friendly midfielder has racked up a return in each of the last five matches.
Dominic Solanke
Bournemouth face Everton in the new round which is a great chance to try and claw their way from 19th place in the league. Their opponents are also in dire form and have in fact lost five of their seven matches and conceded 12 goals.
Everton aren’t as strong as they used to be defensively and that is evident. The Toffees have become a team to target and with that Dominic Solanke (£6.4m) could be the player to take advantage. Of course he takes his sides penalties and leads the frontline line but he’s also in very good form. Considering his sides league position its even more impressive that Solanke has bagged four returns in his first seven games.
