Our coverage of the summer tournament continues as we take a look through some of the best budget gems for EURO Fantasy Matchday 3. To do this we head over to the Fantasy Football Scout members area and check out their underlying stats.
Knowing who the best budget gems for EURO Fantasy Matchday 3 are could be super helpful for fantasy managers. Budget players are crucial when it comes down to building a team and selecting as many premium players as you would like. So, let’s dive in.
Maximilian Mittelstädt
Germany could be one of the best sides to invest in this week. The hosts have been in blistering form since starting their campaign but more importantly they also play on the first day of the new round. This means that we can check their line-ups and react to the news within our fantasy teams.
Switzerland lay ahead for Germany which could give the hosts a great opportunity to keep another clean sheet. As well as clean sheet potential Maximilian Mittelstädt (€4m) has already registered an assist, translating his attacking form from club side Stuttgart in the previous campaign.
Victor Kristiansen
There seems to be lots of great budget defender options this week and we look to another one here. Denmark have been mixed so far but so have Serbia, their upcoming opposition. It could be a great chance to keep a clean sheet for the Danes and Victor Kristiansen (€4.5m) stands out.
Denmark continue to use their familiar back-three system which allows their wing-backs into some extremely advanced positions. One of those wing-backs is Kristiansen who appears to be first choice ahead of both Joakim Maehle and Alexander Bah. The Juventus registered an assist against England and there is no telling he won’t do the same against Serbia in the round ahead.
Nicolae Stanciu
Finally an attacker, your probably thinking. Romania could well be an interesting proposition this week. They impressed hugely during their 3-0 dismantling of Ukraine and they take that attacking form into a game against Slovakia.
Slovakia were extremely lucky to not concede against Belgium in the first week and Romania’ Nicolae Stanciu (€5.5m) may not miss the chances that Romelu Lukaku did. Stanciu scored and picked up the player of the match in Matchday 1 award showing early signs of his influence in the frontline. Set piece and penalty taking duty is also something we have to consider and because of that Nicolae Stanciu eases himself amongst the best budget gems for EURO Fantasy Matchday 3.
Other great budget picks
There are so many different budget options you could fill your team with this week. Another great defender pick could be England centre-back Marc Guehi (€4.5m) who has managed a clean sheet and a huge 17 ball recoveries already.
Centre-back Wout Faes (€4m) remains the cheapest and most reliable route into the Belgium defence. Although conceding in Matchday 1 Faes still came away with a five-point return. Ukraine lay ahead which could mean Faes has both clean sheet and ball recovery potential.
