Best budget enablers in FPL
The Premier League is edging closer to its resume and with that comes the restart of the Fantasy Premier League. For that reason, we take a look at some of the best budget enablers in FPL to help managers build their first drafts.
Looking at the best budget enablers in FPL will be vital for fantasy managers. Those looking to build their teams will be seeking cheap players to help enable the more pricier options within their squads as we head closer to the deadline.
Kepa Arizzabalaga
Chelsea have shown some improvements under new manager Graham Potter. When he took over the Blues managed to keep five consecutive clean sheets in a row. One of the main contributors to that great form was goalkeeper Kepa Arizzabalaga.
Finding budget goalkeepers who play for good teams can be a very difficult task for managers but Kepa offers just that as he is just £4.5m in the game. With fixtures against two of the worst attacks in the league ahead, combined with a double Gameweek after that, Kepa could be a fantastic investment.
Andreas Pereira
Fulham have started the season better than many thought they would. Offensively, they are very good and they have proven that against teams like Man City, Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle and Liverpool as they scored against all of them.
One of the cheapest ways into the Fulham attack is Andres Pereira. The midfielder is just £4.6m in the game and managers will struggle to find a cheaper and more attacking player at that price. Andreas has returned in six of his 16 matches this season. He also comes up against Crystal Palace and Southampton in the next two matches with a double Gameweek after that. There isn’t many reasons to exclude Andreas from our fantasy teams.
Nathan Patterson
Everton have shown flashes of quality under new manager Frank Lampard this season. Although defensively inconsistent, they can keep clean sheets at times. For that reason, it could be worth putting some money into the Everton backline.
Fantasy managers are always on the lookout for £4m defenders that play and that is exactly what Nathan Patterson offers. Although minimal potential for attacking returns, managers can bring Patterson in and out of their teams depending on fixtures.
Hugo Bueno
Wolves have a tendency to play defensive football which increases the likelihood of a clean sheet. Many managers may be put off investing in any Wolves players but they do offer one of the cheapest playing players in the game.
Hugo Bueno is becoming a main stay in the Wolves defence. In fact, the young left back has started the last five matches in the league. Not only this but Bueno managed three key passes in his most recent friendly. At just £3.9m in the game, Bueno has to be considered.
