Best Budget Attackers in FPL 2025/26 – £6.0m and Under

Finding the Best Budget Attackers in FPL 2025/26 is key to building a well-balanced squad. With so much money tied up in premium picks like Haaland and Salah, nailing your cheap midfielders and forwards can give you the edge.

In this article, we highlight the top value options priced at £6.0m or below, covering both positions and looking at their fixtures, form, and upside for Gameweek 1 and beyond.

Elliot Andersen

Nottingham Forest were fantastic last season, and that was largely due to the man pictured above. Nuno Espirito Santo made Nottingham Forest a tough team to beat, and that helped them sustain some of the best defensive data in the league.

A clean sheet point is just one of many routes in which midfielder Elliot Andersen (£5.5m) can pick up a return. Andersen hit two goals and six assists last season. Some of this was helped by his set-piece taking duties. Combined with the fact he ranked among the top three midfielders in the game last season for total defensive contribution points, Andersen becomes a major consideration at his price this season.

Dwight McNeil

Everton ended their 2024/25 league campaign by winning all three of their final matches. Under the management of David Moyes the Toffees have evidently improved. They take that form into a great starting schedule of Leeds, Brighton, Wolves.

Fixture and form makes Everton potentially a great side to invest in, and for those who can’t get to Iliman Ndiaye (£6.5m) or simply want to save £0.5m, then set-play taker Dwight McNeil (£6m) could be a excellent option. As well as set pieces, which really help his appeal, McNeil scored four goals and registered six assists in just 21 matches last campaign.

Tijani Reijnders

Manchester City may have been well below fans expectations last season, but they still ranked among the best sides in the league when it came to underlying attacking data. For many though, the issue with their assets seems to be cost.

A cheap route into Pep Guardiola’ attack is central midfielder Tijani Reijnders (£5.5m). As well as being capable of hitting the defensive contribution bonus, the Dutchman has plenty of attacking threat. This was seen in his previous season with Serie A side AC Milan. There he produced an impressive 10 goals and four assists.

Sunderland

Best Budget Attackers in FPL 2025/26

Being a promoted side has it’s pros and cons in FPL. Whilst Sunderland have no credibility in the Premier League, they do offer up lots of cheap options.

The Black Cats also have a very appealing starting schedule – facing West Ham, Burnley, Brentford, and Crystal Palace in their first four outings.

New signing Simon Adingra (£5.5m) recently joined from Brighton in search for stable gametime, something he is likely to get at Sunderland. Adingra has proved his worth on multiple stages – helping his Ivory Coast side win the recent Africa Cup of Nations, picking up a goal and assist in three AFCON qualifiers for the upcoming tournament, and scoring in his latest match for the Black Cats.

FPL managers could go for an even cheaper option in midfielder Enzo Le Fee (£5m). Le Fee was crucial for his side during the Championship play-offs – registering an assist in two of their three matches. Most of his appeal, along with defensive contribution bonus appeal, comes from the fact he takes some set-pieces.

Former Club Brugge player Chemsdine Talbi (£5m) is a third midfielder we could consider. The 20-year-old produced two goals and one assist during his recent Champions League campaign, so has already played at the highest level.

More Cheap Attackers with potential

There are plenty of players priced at £6m and under worthy of consideration, including:

  • Youri Tielemans (£6m) – Aston Villa
  • Igor Thiago (£6m) – Brentford
  • Emile Smith Rowe (£6m) – Fulham
  • Callum Hudson-Odoi (£6m) – Nottingham Forest
  • Georginio Rutter (£6m) – Brighton
  • Yankuba Minteh (£6m) – Brighton
  • Brajan Gruda (£5.5m) – Brighton
