STRONG FIXTURE
MAN CITY
Their steak of 12 wins may be over but, if anything, that makes Pep Guardiola’s side even more likely to see off Brentford next Wednesday. The Bees have one clean sheet from their last 18 matches and have lost their last four. Attacking options like Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden and Raheem Sterling offer appeal, plus there’s always the chance that Bernardo Silva will decide to get involved. Joao Cancelo is the game’s second highest-scoring defender with 134 points, adding to his forward contributions by being part of a back line with five clean sheets from their last eight outings.
NEWCASTLE
The Magpies picked up a huge win over Leeds last time out and have boosted the squad with signings in their quest to escape relegation. They’ll be hopeful of adding to Everton’s recent misery, where just one win and clean sheet has occurred over their last 14 league matches. It led to the dismissal of Rafael Benitez and, whilst there could be a new manager bounce, Newcastle cannot afford to pass up these opportunities. St James’ Park will be rocking and a maverick FPL option could be Chris Wood or Allan Saint-Maximin.
