The World Cup Qatar 2022 takes place from November 20 to December 18. There are 32 teams competing in the World Cup this winter and they have been draw into eight groups. Here is all fantasy football managers need to know about Qatar 2022.

Qatar is a country in the Middle East. It borders Saudi Arabia and shares maritime borders with Iran, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.

What is it like in Qatar?

Qatar has a desert climate. There are long summers from May to September which see’s the country experience long periods of dry heat. In this period the temperatures rise above 45°C. The average temperatures in November and December is 26 degrees celsius and 21 degrees respectively.

When will the World Cup squads be announced?

All 32 countries have until Monday November 14 to submit their 26-player squads. Some countries like Brazil have already announced their squads. FIFA will officially announce all of the countries World Cup squads on Tuesday November 15.

What are the groups for the first stage of the World Cup?

There are eight groups in the group stages, each containing four teams. The winners and runner ups in each group will qualify for the round of 16 stage of the competition.
