FPL GAMEWEEKS 1-8 FPL POINTS PROJECTIONS: GOALKEEPERS

Top picks, team reveals, strategy guides, find it all fo the new season in our 2025/26 essential guide.
Early on, the tool backs FPL’s heavyweight goalkeepers, but it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on Ederson‘s (£5.5m) transfer situation.
If he leaves and James Trafford does indeed become his replacement, managers suddenly have a £5.0m route into Manchester City’s backline. But Robert Sanchez is currently seen as the best at this price.
David Raya (£5.5m) was a joint winner of 2024/25’s Golden Glove, as Arsenal conceded the fewest goals (34), big chances (58) and shots on target (120). But nicer fixtures put Alisson (£5.5m) in the number one spot. After all, no team kept more clean sheets than champions Liverpool.

While the purchase of Rayan Ait-Nouri (£6.0m) likely moves Gvardiol to centre-back, he remains the best-backed here.
After that, there’s a clear backing of Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool and Nottingham Forest assets. The Toffees conceded the joint-fourth fewest goals (44) of 2024/25 and have looked good under David Moyes, keeping three clean sheets in their final seven outings.
It’s even been revealed that James Tarkowski (£5.5m) would have brought in more DC points than anyone else, gaining them in 66.7% of appearances. Teammate Jarrad Branthwaite (£5.5m) is good at them too, just like Crystal Palace’s Maxence Lacroix (£5.0m).
Yet there’ll always be love for attacking full-backs such as Daniel Munoz (£5.5m) and Pedro Porro (£5.5m), with much anticipation over Jeremie
