After an unimpressive wildcard, it’s back to the drawing board for the FPL Gameweek 30 team.
With disappointment from Aubameyang, there’s a pull towards doubling up on the Liverpool attack once again.

FPL Gameweek 29 Review
Gameweek 29 saw a double gameweek that never was and a wildcard squad that didn’t outscore it’s predecessor. The true worth of a wildcard is over a long-term period, and with strength on the bench, plus a good setup for the looming Blank Gameweek 31, there’s still hope. A Vardy brace and Kevin De Bruyne’s absence resulted in a 15k red arrow.
There were some success stories, with Alex McCarthy impressing and clean sheets for both Wolves and Sheffield Untied. Mo Salah delivered at Anfield once again and Bruno Fernandes kept up his blistering form. There’s very little to say about the performance of the forward line – Aubameyang was restricted to the wing.
FPL Gameweek 30 Team
With two transfers available before Blank Gameweek 31, it’s wise to tread carefully now. My head says to do nothing, but my heart is tempted to switch out Kevin De Bruyne and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The incoming players would be Sadio Mane and Oliver Giroud, for a four point hit.
Transfers will be saved until close to the deadline, as latest injury news and the developing situation regarding the Coronavirus filters through. The captaincy is likely to be with Liverpool – Aubameyang cannot be trusted as Arteta deploys him in unusual positions at times. Will Kevin De Bruyne be passed fit?
The team is ranked at 195,883 with 1,629 points. The Bench Boost and Free Hit chips are still available. Team value lies at £104.8 million, with £0.0 million in the bank.
