Best Players for UCL Fantasy Matchday 4 (2025/26) | Top Picks & Must-Haves

As the new European continues, fantasy managers are planning their squads for the new round. In this guide on the Best Players for UCL Fantasy Matchday 4 (2025/26) | Top Picks & Must-Haves, we’ll highlight the key names you can’t afford to miss.

Knowing who the best players in each position are for the round ahead is vital for early success. With that in mind, let’s take a look at who could have a big week.

Goalkeepers

Best Players for UCL Fantasy Matchday 4

With six consecutive clean sheets, Arsenal are proving to be formidable defensively. Matchday 4 sees them play in the early-kick off against Slavia Praha, which could be a perfect opportunity for David Raya (€5.5m) to make it four out of four Champions League clean sheets.

Another side who continue to impress at the back is Inter. The Italian side have kept a shutout in all three of their Champions League matches, and helping them achieve that was number one Yan Sommer (€6m). This week Inter a very poor Kairat side, which should mean more defensive success.

While Raya and Sommer stand out, UCL managers could also look to the likes of Atleti’ Jan Oblak (€6m) up against USG, Chelsea’ Robert Sanchez (€5m) versus Qarabag, and Newcastle’ Nick Pope (€5m) for his game against Athletic Club.

Defenders

Whilst Inter do offer clean sheet potential heading into any given game, they also play with a back-three. This gives wing-back Denzel Dumfries (€6.1m) the potential to advance forward and score – something he has done in two of his three Champions League matches.

Arsenal don’t offer the same sort of set-up as Inter, but their defenders can still be a major threat. That is espcially the case for centre-back Gabriel (€5.5m). The Brazilian produced a goal and an assist in his latest European match against Atleti.

Leverkusen have been far from convincing at the back. However, they play with a wing-back system. Crucial to that is Alejandro Grimaldo (€6m) who has managed a huge four goals and three assists in just eight Bundesliga matches. He also faces his former side Benfica this week.

Other good defender picks include: Tottenham’ Pedro Porro (€5m) at home to Copenhagen, Chelsea’ Marc Cucurella (€5.5m) v Qarabag, and Newcastle’ Dan Burn (€4.6m) versus Athletic Club.

Midfielders

Best Players for UCL Fantasy Matchday 4

With eight wins on the bounce, Arsenal appear unstoppable currently. An away game against a Slavia Praha side who conceded between 2-3 goals in their opening two rounds, could mean an opportunity for Bukayo Saka (€9.5m). It’s been a fairly quiet start to the season for Saka, but that could change in any given game considering his ability.

Barcelona were excellent offensively last campaign, and they displayed that form in their most recent Champions League game – dismantling Olympiakos 6-1. This week they play another ropey backline in Club Brugge. One of several fantastic midfield options is of course Lamine Yamal (€9.9m). Yamal has returned in a huge 10 of his 12 matches this season.

Since their 2-1 defeat to Barcelona in Matchday 1, Newcastle have won their following matches convincingly, whilst also gathering momentum domestically. Albeit quiet in the Premier League, penalty taker Anthony Gordon (€7.1m) has produced four goals and one assist in just three Champions League matches.

There are several other midfielders who could have huge potential this week. Among them is Chelsea’ Enzo Fernandez (€6.5m) v Qarabag, Napoli’ Scott McTominay (€7m) up against Frankfurt and Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz (€6.7m) for his meeting with Sporting CP.

Forwards

Galatasaray kicked off their nice run of fixtures last week – beating Bodo/Glimt 3-1. Leading the attack was of course penalty taker Victor Osimhen (€7.5m) who bagged two goals and a player of the match award. This week sees him and his side face Ajax. The Dutch giants have been extremely poor defensively – already conceding a huge 11 goals.

The game against Slavia Praha is a fantastic opportunity for Arsenal to make it four consecutive Champions League wins. Although Viktor Gyokeres (€9m) is playing well below expectations this season, the same can be said for every other Arsenal attacker. It may be a matter of time before the Swede starts firing, don’t be surprised if that comes this week.

Inter v Kairat is arguably the standout fixture on paper this week. The Italian giants have comfortably dispatched all three of their opposition so far. We could see plenty of goals scored based on Kairat’ poor defence, suggesting main man Lautaro Martinez (€9.5m) could be among any success.

Other viable striker picks include Real Madrid’ Kylian Mbappe (€10.7m) against Liverpool, Atleti’ Julian Alvarez (€9m) who faces USG, and Manchester City’ Erling Haaland (€10.6m) for his home match against Dortmund.
