FPL Gameweek 8: Top 10 Predicted Points Scorers

The FPL Gameweek 8: Top 10 Predicted Points Scorers is a must-read for managers aiming to get ahead this week.

In this article, we break down the stats and highlight the players most likely to haul in Gameweek 8.

6-10th

FPL Gameweek 8: Top 10 Predicted Points Scorers
  • 10th – Josko Gvardiol – Manchester City have kept just three clean sheets this season. But, a home match against Everton could be a fantastic opportunity to bag a clean sheet for Gvardiol.
  • 9th – Matching his teammate for predicted points this week is Phil Foden. Foden has struggled to convince this season – hitting just one attacking return. Everton next up could see that form improve.
  • 8th – Alexander Isak is another player expected to do well. Next up for Liverpool is Manchester United, who have kept just one clean sheet all season. This should give Isak the potential he needs to further settle at his new club.
  • 7th – Tijani Reijnders edges the three above. The Dutchman has made a solid start with new club Manchester City – bagging three attacking returns in his first seven games. He goes into the next game after scoring for country.
  • 6th – Ismaila Sarr sits top of this pile with 4.7 points. Crystal Palace have a potentially tough home match against Bournemouth this week. With four attacking returns already, they will be hoping Sarr can be the difference.

5th – 4.8 points

Arsenal could make it five wins on the bounce in all competitions this week. The Gooners face a ropey Fulham backline, so it’s no surprise that midfielder Bukayo Saka (£9.9m) is expected to have success. Saka took and scored his sides latest penalty – helping his Arsenal sweep aside West Ham in their 2-0 win.

4th – 4.9 points

Burnley may not have had the most convincing start out of the promoted sides, but they continue to prove themselves from an attacking perspective. One of their key players is midfielder Jaidon Anthony (£5.7m). Anthony has a great fixture against Leeds this week, so we could see him add to his four goals and one assist.

3rd – 4.9 points

West Ham started the season poorly and that resulted in the departure of head coach Graham Potter. The Hammers did have a tough starting schedule though, and now things are looking up in terms of fixture difficulty – starting with a game against Brentford. With that in mind, star man and in-game forward Jarrod Bowen (£7.7m) has the potential to secure his fourth attacking return of the campaign.

2nd – 6.4 points

Second from top, Erling Haaland (£14.5m) is predicted to pick up around six points. Manchester City are in a good run of form – going unbeaten in all competitions since August. Crucial to that form was their penalty taking forward who has netted nine times already this season in the league.

1st – 7.0 points

It has been several years since Mohamed Salah (£14.4m) produced an expected goals this low. That may be the case but he still tops every other player in the game for predicted points this week. The Liverpool penalty taker has had plenty of joy against Manchester United in the past, and their defensive form could help continue his fortune.
