Best players to buy

- Tottenham – Tottenham still have great fixtures ahead, so their players are still very appealing. Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario (€5.1m) could be a long-term option between the sticks. However, centre-back Mickey van de Ven (€4.7m) is a cheaper route into the backline. Pedro Porro (€5.6m) owners still wait for his first attacking return of the campaign. The safest avenue into the attack does seem to be Ghanian midfielder Mohammed Kudus (€6.6m).
- Arsenal – A positive fixture swing makes the Gooners extremely appealing from an investment perspective. Goalkeeper David Raya (€5.6m) remains a very popular option, along with centre-back and set-play threat Gabriel (£6.1m). Noni Madueke’ injury could force fellow midfielder Bukayo Saka (£9.8m) into heavy minutes after recently returning from injury himself. Leading the attack though, and most likely taking penalties is Viktor Gyokeres (£9m).
- Bournemouth – Good upcoming fixtures make Bournemouth a go-to for FPL managers. Djorde Petrovic (£4.5m) could be an excellent goalkeeper option long-term. However, arguably the best route into the defence is centre-back Marcos Senesi (£4.8m). Midfielder Antoine Semenyo (£7.7m) has been one of the most consistent assets in the game this season. Another route into the attack is striker Francisco Evanilson (£7m).
Who else should we consider?

- Leeds – Joe Rodon (defender – £4m) and Anton Stach (midfielder – £5m)
- Newcastle – Nick Pope (goalkeeper – £5m) and Anthony Gordon (midfielder – £7.4m)
- Manchester City – Gianluigi Donnarumma (goalkeeper – £5.6m), Tijani Reijnders (midfielder – £5.7m) and Erling Haaland (forward – £14.3m)
- Manchester United – Bruno Fernandes (midfielder – £9m)
Should we play a chip?

- Wildcard – Using the Wildcard could be a fantastic play for those who haven’t started the season as well as they would have liked. It could also be used to: Swap out Mohamed Salah for Erling Haaland, bring in Arsenal players, and plan for a Bench Boost.
- Bench Boost – Bench Boost usually works better immediately after using a Wildcard to prepare for it. Regardless, Burnley and Leeds have good fixtures in Gameweek 8, so many could be looking at that round to utilise the chip.
- Free Hit – Some could consider Gameweek 7 when Chelsea play Liverpool, and so people can move in Erling Haaland for his match against Brentford. Most managers will be looking to hold onto the Free Chip for a little longer until fixtures get less manageable.
- Triple Captain – Some could take advantage of Erling Haaland’ relentless form and back him against Brentford in Gameweek 7. However, many will also be hoping to hold on until later on in the season when both the Norwegian and Mohamed Salah play newly promoted sides.
