Another fantasy journey begins, this time with the added challenge of potential rotations due to Champions League and Europa League fixtures.
Goalkeepers
I’m sticking with my strategy of always having at least one goalkeeper playing at home. My chosen duo is João Valido (€4.0M), who has been performing consistently well, and Sequeira (€4.5M), who already has clean sheets to his name this season.
Defenders
In defence, Dédic (€6.0M) will be key to the offensive setup under José Mourinho.
Sidney Lima (€4.5M) continues to shine for Santa Clara, cementing himself as the side’s most reliable defender.
Lelo (€5.5M) is also enjoying an excellent season, recently providing another Europa League assist and currently sitting among the top-scoring defenders in fantasy.
De Haas (€5.0M) comes in as Famalicão’s standout option at the back – a solid contributor defensively with clear scoring potential.
Finally, Abascal (€5.0M) has been a reliable presence for Vitória, already registering an assist and coming close to adding goals on multiple occasions.
Midfielders
Geovany Quenda (€8.5M) leads my midfield after another series of standout performances – he looks set to keep influencing results.
Sudakov (€9.5M) has now scored in back-to-back games and is becoming increasingly important for Benfica’s attack.
André Luiz (€6.0M) joins after scoring a wonder goal at the Luz and continues to show he can deliver at a high level.
Miguel Nogueira (€5.5M), a rising young talent, has been growing in influence. Operating as a number 10, he’s created several chances already and even won a penalty in the derby against Braga.
Lastly, Pepê (€8.5M) has been in excellent form with strong underlying numbers and looks set to have a big influence in Monday’s fixture.
Forwards
The attack remains very similar to last week. Suarez (€10.5M) leads the line again as the number-one penalty taker and focal point of the attack.
Samu (€11.5M) continues to be nailed on with no competition for his place. He found the net last week and is consistently threatening in front of goal.
Finally, Chucho Ramírez (€5.5M) of Nacional completes the trio. He already has two goals this season, is on penalties, and scored again in the last match.
Good luck this gameweek!
