Fantasy EFL Gameweek 7 Top Picks

As we head into another round of fixtures, it’s time to look at the players who could really make a difference. @FPLEdgeworth breakdown of the Fantasy EFL Gameweek 7 Top Picks will highlight the key names worth considering, based on form, fixtures, and their potential to deliver points.

Goalkeepers

Luke Southwood – Bristol Rovers

Fantasy EFL Gameweek 7 Top Picks

We start this week’s top picks with Southwood of Bristol Rovers. Before the international break, he recorded three consecutive clean sheets, and this week he faces Barrow at home – a side that has only scored in one of their three away games this season. A clean sheet looks very likely.

Connor Ripley – Swindon Town

Another strong goalkeeper option is Ripley of Swindon. While he hasn’t collected many clean sheets so far, he comes up against Harrogate, who after a promising start have failed to score in their last two matches. With Swindon sitting joint-top of the league, Harrogate’s goal struggles may well continue.

Defenders

Ross McCrorie – Bristol City

Fantasy EFL Gameweek 7 Top Picks

In defence, McCrorie of Bristol City stands out. He has already produced one goal and three assists this season, and now faces Sheffield Wednesday – a team that has conceded at least two goals in all but one match and failed to score in half of them. McCrorie offers both attacking potential and clean sheet appeal.

Patrick Brough – Tranmere Rovers

For a differential pick, consider Brough of Tranmere. He’s averaging just over six points per game and comes up against Newport at home. Newport are winless in five, while Tranmere will be eager to respond after back-to-back defeats. A clean sheet looks within reach.

Midfielders

Victor Torp – Coventry City

Torp has been sensational, scoring 46 points in just four games thanks to four goals and one assist. He faces Norwich this week, a side that has conceded in all but one game. With three double-digit hauls already, Torp is impossible to overlook.

Scott Twine – Bristol City

Fantasy EFL Gameweek 7 Top Picks

Alongside Torp is Twine of Bristol City. He’s delivered 42 points in four games, including two double-digit returns. With Sheffield Wednesday’s leaky defence (two goals conceded in all but one game), Twine looks set for another involvement and possibly another big haul.

Forwards

Omari Patrick – Tranmere Rovers

Patrick continues to deliver week after week. He’s now produced five consecutive games with eight points or more, including four double-digit hauls. Facing Newport at home – a side hovering just above the relegation zone – his run of returns should continue.

Matthew Dennis – Notts County

Dennis is another consistent performer, returning in six of his seven matches this season. Despite a tough fixture against Gillingham, he has shown he can deliver regardless of opposition, and should do so again this week.

Teams to Target

Bristol City are an excellent team to target this week. They face winless Sheffield Wednesday and are strong favourites for three points. They’ve scored four goals in half of their matches this season, and if they repeat that, the away bonus points could push them to maximum points.

Middlesbrough are the other standout team, having won every match so far. They travel to Preston, who remain unbeaten at Deepdale, but Boro have already won tough away fixtures at The Den and Carrow Road. Playing away shouldn’t faze them, and bonus away points look likely.
