Best Replacements for Sarr in FPL

With Ismaila Sarr side-lined through injury, many FPL managers are now forced into an early transfer decision. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the Best Replacements for Sarr in FPL, highlighting the most reliable alternatives across different price points.

Whether you’re looking for a straight swap in the same bracket or a chance to upgrade to a premium midfielder, there are several strong options who can step in and deliver points right away.

Fixtures

With the Crystal Palace midfielder rumoured to be out with injury for 4+ weeks, finding a long-term replacement for Sarr will be key.

With this in mind, taking into account the fixtures could be hugely beneficial.

Below is the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker. Here we can see the teams at the top with the easiest fixtures, all of the way down to the teams with the toughest fixtures.

Best Replacements for Sarr in FPL

Taking into account the fixtures, let’s now take a look at some potential replacements:

Mohammed Kudus

Best Replacements for Sarr in FPL

Only Leeds have better fixtures than Tottenham according to the fixture ticker. Thomas Frank’ men come up against West Ham, Brighton, Wolves, Leeds, Aston Villa and Everton over the course of the next six Gameweeks.

They have also started the season well offensively – ranking joint third for total goals scored. Contributing towards those goals was Mohammed Kudus (£6.6m). The Ghanian bagged two assists during his first three games. He also carried that creative form into the international break – registering an assist for country.

Antoine Semenyo

Bournemouth have started their 2024/25 campaign better than many expected. Although losing to Liverpool in the opening round, the Cherries then went on to beat both Wolves and Tottenham.

The fixtures also look positive for Bournemouth. In the next six rounds they meet with Brighton, Newcastle, Leeds, Fulham, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest.

Arguably best way to invest in the Bournemouth attack is via talisman Antoine Semenyo (£7.4m). Whilst the move from Sarr to Semenyo would cost an additional £0.9m, the Bournemouth could be well worth the upgrade – having managed two goals and one assist already.

Lucas Paqueta

Best Replacements for Sarr in FPL

Lucas Paqueta (£5.9m) appears to be a man on a mission as of late. The Brazilian has found the net in each of his previous three matches for West Ham. He also scored for country in his most recent game – making it four goals in four outings.

One of Paqueta’ goals for West Ham came from the penalty spot, which will almost certainly interest FPL managers moving forward.

West Ham have been hit an miss in terms of results, but that hasn’t stopped them from scoring. In fact, the Hammers have notched up six goals in all competitions already. Their scoring form could well continue with matches against Tottenham, Crystal Palace, Everton, Brentford and Leeds ahead.

Tijani Reijnders

Best Replacements for Sarr in FPL

Manchester City will be hoping to bounce back after a mixed start to the season. Whilst Pep Guardiola’ men dismantled Wolves in the opening round, they also lost to both Tottenham and Brighton in the previous two Gameweeks.

The fixtures ahead include Manchester United, Arsenal, Burnley, Brentford, Everton and Aston Villa in the next six rounds, which could offer up potential for a historically relentless frontline.

Many opted for Tijani Reijnders (£5.7m) ahead of the season, and the ones who didn’t were mainly concerned around his gametime. That appears to be much less of an issue now that he has started all three of his sides first matches. He also scored and assisted during that same period – displaying some of the same attacking threat he showed for former club Milan.

Who else should we consider?

There are several other assets FPL managers could consider, including:

  • Kieran-Dewsbury Hall (£5m) – The Everton man hit a goal and an assist in his previous match against Wolves.
  • Jack Grealish (£6.7m) – Grealish registered two assists in each of his previous two matches for Everton.
  • Dango Ouattara (£6m) – Ouattara has already proven his worth since moving to Brentford – scoring in Gameweek 2 against Aston Villa.
  • Marcus Tavernier (£5.5m) – Tavernier is a much cheaper route into the Bournemouth attack than teammate Semenyo. As well as scoring in his first three games he also produced a huge 29 defensive contributions.
