Top 10 FPL Gameweek 3 Most Popular Picks

The Top 10 FPL Gameweek 3 Most Popular Picks gives us a clear look at which players managers are backing the most this week. Tracking the most-owned and most-transferred options can be a great way to spot trends, build around template choices, or even find opportunities to go against the crowd.

In this article, we’ll break down the top 10 players leading the way for Gameweek 3 and what that means for your Fantasy Premier League decisions.

10th – 6th

  • 10th – Robert Sanchez (£5m) – 25.2% ownership – The Chelsea goalkeeper has kept one clean sheet in his first two matches. This week he faces Fulham at home, which should provide enough potential for him to secure his second of the campaign.
  • 9th – Florian Wirtz (£8.5m) – 27% ownership – Liverpool showed everyone how much attacking quality they had in the opening round against Bournemouth. This week could be a lot trickier though, as they meet with Arsenal.
  • 8th – Van de Ven (£4.5m) – 27.8% ownership – Tottenham surprised many within the FPL community with their start to the season. Thomas Frank and his side bagged two clean sheets in the first two matches, and they have a good opening to continue that form this week against Bournemouth.
  • 7th – Mohammed Kudus (£6.6m) – 29.1% ownership – As well as keeping two clean sheets, Tottenham also racked up an impressive six goals during the first two rounds. Heavily involved was midfielder Kudus who could punish Bournemouth this week.
  • 6th – Erling Haaland (£14.1m) – 30.5% ownership – Expectations were high after scoring a brace in the first round. However, the Norwegian failed to return in Gameweek 2. Brighton lay ahead in Gameweek 3, perfect opposition for him to bounce back.

5th – Tijani Reijnders – 32.8% ownership

Top 10 FPL Gameweek 3 Most Popular Picks

Tijani Reijnders (£5.7m) breaks into the top five largely due to his Gameweek 1 goal and assist. The former Milan midfielder failed to repeat his performance against Tottenham last time out. But, a fixture against the leaky Brighton defence could see him bounce back.

4th – Martin Dubravka – 34.3% ownership

Martin Dubravka (£4m) secured his first clean sheet of the season against Sunderland in Gameweek 2. Things get a little tougher though in the round ahead. Manchester are up next for Burnley, so Dubravka could be slightly limited in terms of potential.

3rd – Cole Palmer – 52.4%

Top 10 FPL Gameweek 3 Most Popular Picks

It has been a dissapointing start for Cole Palmer (£10.5m). The Chelsea talisman blanked in the first round then failed to play in Gameweek 2 due to injury. At the time of writing, Palmer remains a major doubt for the next fixture against Fulham, so we could see his ownership plummet.

2nd – Mohamed Salah – 53.9% ownership

Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Salah (£14.5m) showed us once again that he remains one of the most reliable picks in the game. The Egyptian netted in Gameweek 1, even after a less than convincing display. Both he and his owners will need all of his inevitability this week against a strong Arsenal side.

1st – Joao Pedro – 54.8% ownership

Top 10 FPL Gameweek 3 Most Popular Picks

Securing his position as the highest owned player in the game is Joao Pedro (£7.5m). The Chelsea forward bagged a huge 15 points in Gameweek 2 due to his goal and two assists. He takes that form into the next match against Fulham, who have conceded in each of their opening outings.
